I think both companies are great but to be honest in this rough economy I need a cellphone carrier that is both reliable and affordable. I just get a better deal with AT&T and that's what matters most to me.

I care about signal/coverage much more than I care about what type of phone i'm toting around. Verizon and At&t both have different ups and downs to their networks but Net10 has the best coverage as a provider because their network runs on BOTH Verizon and At&t towers. I switched to Net10 a couple of months ago and I have not had a single call dropped. The call clarity could be a little better on my LG900G but for 50 bucks a month for the unlimited plan... nothing has a better deal.

Im a Verizon customer and it is OK. But my phone SUCKS because it has a whole bunch of bugs and i have only had the phone for idk like 2-3 months. Also.. the customer service is HORRIBLE when it comes to VZ. They tried to rip my family off with all the coverage over the phones and such.

Speed varies with your location. My friends Verizon phone was much faster at browsing than my AT&T phone, not to mention he had a stronger signal. Verizon costumers will most likely have a better signal connection.

Although AT&T may have worse 3G Coverage than Verizon it still has good OVERALL coverage across the US. I love my iPhone 3G. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Verizon all the way. It reachest farthest up into the smokey mountains here in east tennessee, really it's the only provider that gets anywhere near there at all. Around here, AT&T isn't even a contender. The 2 main choices around here are Verizon and U.S. Cellular.

I had Verizon. I switched to AT&T in December when my Verizon contact ended. I got a 3GS. It's by far better than any phone I've ever had. I don't have any problems with service, I live in Manhattan. I've gotten coverage in the subway once. But, my old ENv3 got service in my elevator all the time! To me, it's basically the same. But, if the next iPhone goes into any other company, I'm switching.
All of you who think the cooler phones are better don't take into mind the coverage and RELIABILITY! AT&T has barley the courtesy to take care of your phone.

VZW has a cdma signal that goes a shorter distance but holds a strong signal at a low bar.
AT&T uses GSM that singal goes a long distance, but is very weak even with a lot of bars.
i get 4/4 bars at my house, my friend with AT&T gets 0/5. it all depends on your area. some areas suck for cells some are great.

Although AT&T may have worse 3G Coverage than Verizon it still has good OVERALL coverage across the US. I love my iPhone 3G. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've been with AT&T for five years now and have never considered switching! AT&T is the best! Verizon is SAD becaus it had to Merge with Alltel just to beat us!

The AT&T maps show their tv, landline, internet coverage, 3g, AND regular mobile phone coverage in their maps. Verizons just shows their 3g coverage and AT&T's coverage can't even compare. The 3g maps they show on the Verizon commericals ARE true.

I got Sprint, but my sister got Verizon and my mom got AT&T , they live togheter and bothers me how many calls drop all the time from my mom's phone, specially when she is inside the house she got really bad signal and my sister inside the same house is cristal clear, wtf att&t? fix your shit!

Verizon all the way. It reachest farthest up into the smokey mountains here in east tennessee, really it's the only provider that gets anywhere near there at all. Around here, AT&T isn't even a contender. The 2 main choices around here are Verizon and U.S. Cellular.

I had Verizon. I switched to AT&T in December when my Verizon contact ended. I got a 3GS. It's by far better than any phone I've ever had. I don't have any problems with service, I live in Manhattan. I've gotten coverage in the subway once. But, my old ENv3 got service in my elevator all the time! To me, it's basically the same. But, if the next iPhone goes into any other company, I'm switching.
