This kind of aluminum vessel is designed for single use and discard-recycle and is internally coated with a thin varnish to prevent aluminum poisoning. I wouldnt recommend using this for daily consumption of any heated liquids.
@daddy12610 if you mean for light its kind of impracticle if its inclosed in a room your gonna get hot these put off alot of heat and 1 OZ. of fuel will only last 6 to 12 min depending on design
Nice job on forming the rim. I'll have to make one, You might try heating the bottles up to 400-500 F for about 10 miutes. That tends to soften the aluminum and makes it easier to form (I throw them on the BBQ). BTW, what were your boil times and how much fuel was needed? Thanks
thanks dude I had no Idea wine bottle corks fit inside those bottles ! I been using a venom can I used a coat hanger and made a bail for it so could easily retreve it from the coals or suspend it over the fire with a notch stick
That's a very nice job on the rolled lip. I'll have to go look at how you did that. Thanks.
By the way, how long did it take to boil? I know that cooking noodles is different from just boiling water, you may want to do another video on just boiling water, since many hikers don't cook in the pot, just boil w/ it.
You need to use this outside. Kitchen tests are worthless.
