  • Smart guy

  • This guy is so right.

  • Last flight, I sat next to the same guy he sat next, to. Too true, too funny. Don't you love observational humor?

  • rofl, I love louis ck

  • He is right on the money. We are so lucky and we don't even appreciate it!

  • GIVE IT A SECOND!!! ITS GOING TO SPACE! haha

  • I like the message in CK's rant here. Don't forget to be amazed, he's saying. I like that.

  • What an idiot!

    He's a wanker and a smart ass!

    Go f..k yourself

  • go walk into an aids tree you mental midget.

  • "There's a nicer way to say it than that..."

    "No!"

    lol

  • You friend are a dumbass and obviously do not get sarcasm

  • It's comedy. Relax.

  • He is not saying tech. is bad, he is saying don't take it for granted or make you unhappy when it's not there.

  • your comment is a sad thing to see

  • this is exactly the joke.. about how people are whining about this shit. you obviously have no sense of humor.

  • Funny! He is so right! We have it so easy!

    Count your blessings everyday!

  • Seen this when it aired, glad someone uploaded it. Very funny guy.

  • all gingers are grumpy bastards ha ha

  • Great jokes, this guy is now going on my list of awesome people.

  • Hysterical...but satisfaction in life is all about expectation. If something you're used to working with is performing subpar, you're not going to be too happy.

  • total griner!

  • love it.

  • hard, work is what makes certain people happy. and electronics make everything too available and easy

  • Ha --I remember hating people with zeroes in their number and having to go to the bank when it was open every time I wanted cash. Louis is the best comic on here.

  • i like how todd say AIDS had not been invented yet government created that shit. ck's the best

  • I am only 56 but when I was a teenager, LSD was not even illegal yet, we bought M80s or kilos of pot in brown bags. AIDS had not been invented and I have never used a condom. Seatbelts were not used by anybody and people went thru windsheilds all the time. I went 100 mph in the city many times. Helmets weren't required on motorcycles; we didn't even have licenses when we were under 16 and we'd ride across town without them. Telephones, we used alligator clips and used somebody elses line.

  • yea,rub it in dude. thanks

  • Well, Todd - AIDS wasn't "invented." And if you were such a lawbreaker, I don't doubt you're a loser at 56 also. We DID have seatbelts - they were up on the roofline above the window and you actually had to take them out of the clips and put them back - no retraction, so they were kind of a pain. But I used them in 1967. 100MPH in the city? Too bad you didn't stop wasting air and slam into a tree.

  • You rightwing Republican types always hate my freedom. No doubt you are a Xtian. You will get up early tomorrow sine it's Sunday, and put on $500 worth of clothes from department stores, and listen to some moron in your local jesus-cult crackhouse, Well it's the winter solstice and I will be on the overpass US OUT OF IRAQ. A church for war is a fallen church. You Xtians suck

    Todd

  • ...And one more thing - I hope you didn't impregnate anyone not using condoms. It'd be a shame to think of little Todd's running around today...

  • you know they are talking about you, right?

  • i just don't care, it's youtube

  • the presenter is a boner

  • Rotary phone (no touchtone), no voicemail, no ATM, rarely actually using your credit card and if you do, it's manual... actually at least the last one is still true for some places! It's really funny to watch him go off like that and recognise, yeah, it is incredible I'm on a seat in the air!

  • That was so funny, and some of the references to 20+ years ago is so true... how quickly we forget. LOL... funny insightful comments.

  • this is the funniest shit iv seen all day. louis CK owns dane cook. dane cook is CK's bitch!

  • Dane who?

  • The two can't be compared. They are two different kinds of comedians. :P

  • hahaha "give it a second! It's going to space!"

  • "You're sitting in a chair in the sky!" So hysterical!

  • SO TRUE.

I DONT TAKE STUFF FOR GRANTED.

  • brilliant

  • decriminalize maybe ...

  • 'and whiny liberals agitate for free medical care for these "poor" people.' Yep wouldn't want the USA to join the rest of the modern western world now - would we ?

What a complete racket US medical services are.

  • I agree. It is time to legalize cannabis.

  • We live in a country where "poor" people can eat so much they're obese, and whiny liberals agitate for free medical care for these "poor" people.

I mentioned this to some of our Pakistani contractors overseas, and they were disgusted and amused. If you're fat, how can you be "poor"? Only in America.

  • If you live in a poor urban neighborhood where there are no supermarkets to buy fruits or vegetables, you'll be obese AND suffer malnutrition. In certain neighborhoods there's nowhere outdoors to exercise without getting mugged/shot.

  • Yes, as if most "poor people" don't also have cars. Or as if "poor urban neighborhoods" don't have, say, PUBLIC TRANSIT to get you to the supermarket.

Please, you're being idiotic. Stop it..

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Oh Louie, you make me laugh like no other man. Thank you.

  • I agree a 100 percent!

  • brilliant ! FLMFAO

  • perfect!

  • i think adults are more disrespectful and less understanding to technology.

  • I think any generalization about a huge portion of the population is plain wrong by default.

  • Yea, and 9-year old spoiled brats with their cell phones aren't.

  • He's so right. Todays teens are just dumb fucks...

  • He's not even talking about teens, you complete twit. He's talking about the "current generation" which is anything from 0 to 40 years old.

  • read skaterkristianstad's commetn dumbfuck

  • I've watched this video about 4 times and I still LMAO every time.

  • hah m2, can't stop. its so true

  • I'm in the EXACT shoes now. This is so fucking funny.

  • Louis CK is awesome. Best comedian out there, easily.

  • how the fuck did this turn into a religious debate?

  • Hes fuckin great it doesnt even seem like a bunch of jokes he wrote for the show he really has feelings about the things he talks about

  • good lord i love louis ck. best comedian ever and no funkadunk screw seth rogan louis ck is much better.

  • Him and Seth Rogen should have a baby.

  • lol I love at the end how he's like "No!"

  • what the fuck

  • he is my new hero.

    Brilliant!

  • you missed the entire point, idiot.

  • Thanks for the laughs.

  • yeah, when I hear people complain about the airplane I want to kick them. We are so ungrateful today.

  • Very funny!!!

  • lol at the dialing 0

  • I miss Lucky Louie

  • "I can't do any more things."

    So funny!

  • non-contributing zeros--a lot of them run celebrity blogs, don't they? (the superficial, i'm looking your way.)

  • this guy is awesome i kno exactly wat he is talkin about im am young at 23 but had to work hard for everything i got so this guys rocks

  • This interview is epic!! Louis is a visionary, he should take over Late Night for Conan when he takes over for Letterman, right?

  • Conan is taking over for Leno.

  • i wish more comedians wrote as well as this guy

  • YOU NON CONTRIBUTING ZERO! that made me lol, watch conans hair from 1:21 - 1:23 its awesome

  • YAP, YAP, YAP---HOT AIR ++++

is this CRAP OR WISDOM FOR the 'new generation' ???

  • You don't know what you've got until it's gone...we're going to find this out real soon. You'll see...

  • He's right about underappreciation of this generation. However, the reason why no one is happy is because we realize greater truth: it's either everyone or no one. We're tired of pyramid exploitation schemes. Leeches, who get up in the top by being evil and use everyone else for their personal benefit. We also hate being put into system, where you are a number, a someone else's meal, where your life is already predetermined and decided.

  • lol true that, and dude below its not just America its our whole generation

  • great piece! wake up america!!

  • yea our generations gay, we're going into a depression and no one seems to care, 10 yrs from now lifes goanna be so differnt and suck wait and see.

  • we are definitely spoiled....

  • SO FUCKING TRUE!

  • Oh, i spit out my coffee.

  • so damn true

  • Truer words were never spoken.

  • He's right, we are spoiled by technology, and our kids take it for granted.

Now, it's time to get green and clean up our dirty planet with all of that technology. : )

  • I admit when my internet doesn't work in my house I am exactly like that

    "this is BULLSHIT"

  • So people are idiots...i knew that, but this guy has a really good point and i agree

  • ahahahahh "NO"

  • great clip although I'm starting to notice that Conan has become a lot more uptight lately.

  • Possibly in preparation to replace Leno.

  • woah there

it's just a brilliant bit of truth

you no likey- you go now-you no have to looky

  • risterapi...By the way, you never answered my question where did you learn to be a free thinker.

the point is that you have in no way proven your arguement

  • holy crap I sat in a chair in the sky :D IO never thought of it like that, thankyou Louis CK! Thankyou for showing me the awesome! :D

  • Silence others? Nah, Im just telling you to be ashamed of yourself for supporting anti-free-thinking on the Internet.

Ah, I welcome thinking. YOU are the only one that has told others to keep their thoughts to themselves. Approved workers are not ashamed.

  • Keeping THOUGHTS to themselves?

Hehe scripture DO NOT qualify as thoughts. Thats my point. And that goes for the rest of religiouos dogma. Nothing to do with THINKING or REASON. Quite the opposite.

  • religious dogma, scientific dogma.. it's all canonical rabble non-sense.

so you're both wrong and right- now shut up or take your self-righteous finger pointing elsewhere.

  • Science isnt science when its practiced with dogma. Religion isnt religion when its practiced without dogma.

    Back in line soldier.

  • The influence on science doesn't escape the common social thread, nor the arbitrary circumstances that enforce it. It's creativity and critical thought that lead to progress. why do you care so much how people choose to place their values? you're interpretation of discovery is just as arbitrary as anyone elses.. let people guess, and hope they stay open to other guesses. cause really thats all we can do on this ride. who knows: **maybe theres a common ground!?**

  • umm livininsular, science is more then just guesses. Just because you can catorgorize religion with guesses, doesnt mean you can for science, it's proven with evidence for every theory or advancment they make.

  • You sure are random...

"So, if you are letting yourself be ruled after desert dogmas, keep it to yourself."

So let me get this straight, our right to free speech is (supposedly) trumped by your freethinking, this looks like to *me* that you have the right to say whatever you want (free thinking) and anyone who is in disagreement (with your freethoughts) doesn't have the same rights to speak them ( see above, your comment) that's one sided.

  • Preachin scripture is working AGAINST free thinking. It's horrible what our kids have to hear as they grow up. All this because of the sick religion inside their parents heads.

  • And WHERE do you see that I have preached anything to you? You don't. You are so dogmatic on getting your point across you've totally missed that you're the one trying to silence others. I think for myself, oh, that reminds me...where did you learn to be a free-thinker?

  • Easy now woman...youre on fire!

Never said that you quoted any scripture. You seem to be really upset about this religion thing that you cant read what I say. It's because you know im right.

Silence others? Nah, Im just telling you to be ashamed of yourself for supporting anti-free-thinking on the Internet.

But again, you have the RIGHT to post scripture just like your cult-friends.

"Dont pray in my school and I wont think in your church", would be a good end to this.

  • "You are free to say and pray to whatever the hell that ives you comfort my misguided friend.

But refering to dogmatic scripture on Internet is equal to preaching hate, it undermines the free thinking of others."

I'm trying to figure out how using our rights of freedom of speech undermines your free thinking? hm?

Are you implying that free thinkers are the only people allowed to share their thoughts freely? That's a double standard you have there.

  • Let's face it, religion is the very opposite to free thinking. It teaches our kids that blind faith is a virtue.

You believers should be ashamed of yourself using this fruit of science and free thinking. You are supporting our worst enemy.

You might not be directly responsible for what is happening in american schoolsystem today, but you support the same ideas.

    Shame on you.

  • Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope.

Your future's so bright you gotta wear shades.

Thank God for the wonders of science and man's ability to understand the world around him.

That was my point. That and being thankful for the awesome things we have for our healthy benefit in this world.

Give it a second! Its going to space! Nice!

    Rotary phones I remember!

    Peace risterapi!

  • Dude, I don't know WHO you are, but from like right now I'm your biggest fan.

  • Wow! This guy is hilarious! What he says is so true. This was a nice comedic reminder of how ungrateful most of us are and how we need to remember to appreciate our lifestyles.

  • hahaha, so true!

  • awesome! God is good!

    Jer 29:11

  • Now didnt that just give you a few extra points to heaven? Lol you are such a good example of human stupidity.

  • Although it was quite OT you don't need to insult the guy

  • Well, refering to scripture is to me one of the most insulting things you can do.

It's to insult other peoples intelligence.

All this on the Internet, the fruit of technological knowledge, science and free thinking. Religion has NOTHING to do here.

So, if you are letting yourself be ruled after desert dogmas, keep it to yourself.

  • Youtube is "the fruit of technological knowledge" come on it's not the MIT research page

  • You need to read what i wrote again, then come back.

  • I read what you said and youtube isn't that big a deal. Also the last time I checked freedom of speech includes one speaking about their faith. It's insulting to me to say that a person should not be allowed to express one of the most important aspects of their life on a mechanism that is how people communicate in this world.

  • I said Internet, not Youtube. Are you that stupid you cant tell the difference?

Of course freedom of speech includes religion, but it doesnt change the fact that youre insulting yourself and others. But everyone should be able to take insults towards them.

And last time I checked, it was the religios side that didn't like that.

  • Your subjective opinion states that refering to scripture is insulting, not an objective truth. You say that the internet is a fruit of technological knowledge, science and free thinking. You then disqualify your own argument by stating that religion has NOTHING to do here. Where is the free thinking in that. As well true religion is to visit the fatherless and the widow and keep oneself unspotted from the world. That includes acceptance of people and forgiveness, that is true Christianity. Love

  • Well free thinking needs religon and dogma like the human body need tumours.

Dont you ever mix free thinkers with scripture and the people refering to it.

Thats why religius people dont qualify to use Internet, they are against free thinking. Not commiting to it.

  • It seems that your "free thinking" has enslaved you to your own dogma of what you interpret free thinking to be.

I think we need to agree to disagree.

Is being open minded simply agreeing with what you term to be the truth? Isn't objective truth by its very nature, exclusive?

    Please reconsider your stance.

Read the truth for yourself and make your own decisions.

  • You are free to say and pray to whatever the hell that ives you comfort my misguided friend.

But refering to dogmatic scripture on Internet is equal to preaching hate, it undermines the free thinking of others.

its like cursing in the church.

But yes, that is a price we will pay for 100% freedom of speech. But you will continue to hear about it, when you like a robot quoting the scripture you happened to be born into.

  • Wow. You are a huge bummer. There is nothing more depressing than someone who thinks they know everything.

  • Shame on you.

  • would you give it a second to get back from SPACE?! lol

  • SO SIMPLISTIC, it's pathetic. Yet, discernible bits of truth.

These days it doesn't take much to entertain us ... PITY.

  • The recognition of obvious yet unseen truth always evokes this feeling, and when it's a shared recognition it makes us aware of our connection (as if to say, "You recognize it too?)

    I don't think it's a pity at all....

  • the elusive obvious.

  • i don't feel like I am the only one any longer...we are self absorbed and unappreciative...and are always awaiting the "next" thing

  • haha at 3:26 is funny :p

  • it's nice to know i'm not the only one who feels this way.

  • haha That's so hilarious and strikingly so true. Wisdom from humor. :)

  • Go see Louis Hilarious tour, saw it two weeks ago, best comedy show I have ever seen. Until the next Louis CK show.

  • That was awesome! Yea, this is a great time to realize all the things we have to be thankful for.

  • hil-ar-i-ous

  • This dude is funny.

  • hahaha great! :D

  • "its a going to space!"

    love it..

  • this is epic! just what i'm thinking every year, sometimes every month

  • Unfortunately, TSA is conspiring to suck all the fun out of air travel. It's hard to get in that "WOO THIS IS AWESOME!" mindset when you've had your toothpaste thrown out because it might be a bomb and you got gum on your sock because you weren't allowed to wear your shoes through the metal detector.

  • my american hero! Louis CK!!

  • Ha-ha! Pure gold!

  • everything he mentioned is so true we take way too many things for granted and dont even realize the opportunity we have at doing the simple of things.

  • Never heard of the guy before, (brit here) but damn that was funny :D Makes some very good points lol.

  • So true. I may be young enough to be a part of this generation but I was raised to be grateful for what I have. I totally agree! Get a life people!!

  • I love it when Conan genuinely laughs at his guests jokes, always a sign of a good comedian.

  • Not only that, but Conan's not AFRAID to laugh as pretty much every other talk show host seems to be. Conan's the best.

  • He's one of the best. I love Louis CK!

  • SPACE!

  • this guy is freakin awsome. almost too good.

  • so true!!

  • OMG one of the most hilarious things i have watched. Ever.

  • This is soooo awesome! I love this!

  • Definately the times were simpler. And I do remember the rotary phone...and the 'party line'! I think in a way we are getting back to that, although I enjoy technology. I feel the Internet has allowed community, consciousness to raise, people to not feel so alone if they are different, etc. I feel the young people are going to be a great generation helping us. They already have shown, I feel, their concern and caring for the planet. It's all moving forward. xo Beki

  • So true. People complain about the smallest things now.

  • I totally, totally agree. I'm 21 and I'm absolutely amazed at how many good things we have in this day and age. I think the problem with not being able to appreciate the technologies we have is that you need to know more about history before you can understand how nice the things we have are right now.

  • Louis CK is describing pretty much every American white male under the age of 35 here. The biggest spoiled brats in the history of mankind.

  • hilarious.

  • Absolutely spot-on. This guy knows where it's at! We've had chip-and-PIN in the UK for a mere couple of years now, and yet when I visited New York last month and had to sign my name to use my credit card my reaction was that it was a little primitive! It's all about perspective :)

  • He is the best!

  • you know, I'm still amazed that I can give a guy 42 cents and he'll bring my letter anywhere in the US, even if its on the other side of the country. His funny jeep burns more gas stopping at my mailbox just to get the letter. Fax machines were when I realized the world had magic in it though.
