Great footage! You can hear the clang of slightly worn bearings, the valve timing slightly off and you can even make out the mineral stains on the boiler from leaking fittings. - Truly a workhorse!

None of which occurs with a restored loco today!

The original BR Nameplates read Owen Glendower, the English spelling. The Welsh spelling is "Owain Glyndwyr" and that is what you see in this video which is not a nameplate but a painted on name because the original nameplates had been removed.
