you want to bet? look on my page. Also tell me, whats your opinion about the Stern in England and the Gaurnat report in Australia? think its reasonable to use a r.01% return on invested capital?

  • @MrPurplefood How about you look at what the science produced by those who actually study climate & who's papers survive peer review...Instead of getting 100% of your info from Professional Denialist websites & YT channels. That is why you are so confused on what reality actually is. I could care less what one economist in London says all I care about is the science. However, to sit back & think doing nothing is the easiest & cheapest path forward is LAUGHABLE!

  • Warmest temperatures since records began? Forget the 100 year records which the IPCC are always harping on about, temperatures are still below the 3000 year average!

  • @Antithropecentric

are you denying the climate has always changed?

wow, the world on average has warmed in the last 150 years... but what about the medieval warm period, what about 1100BC?

Isn't it true that 'those same scientists' tried to erase the medieval warm period to try and fudge their data?

oh, and in Australia, Tim Flannery the governments chief Climate change advisor to the government just bought a house in sydney harbor (a few metres abouve sea level)... you should warn him.

  • @MrPurplefood Exactly! Temps are still below the 3000 year average.

  • @MrPurplefood The Medieval Warm Period was NOT as warm as today & it was only regional in a few spots NOT GLOBAL. NO, it is not true that scientist tried to hide anything including the places it was it might have been warmer than the average 1000yrs ago.

  • 'knowing something, but not being prepared to deal with it' hmm... so i guess the Stern Report which used .0001 as a return on invested Capital would be considered denial... The Stern report commissioned by the british gov was blatant propoganda. if the report was actually trying to be serious, then Stern should have used at least a .05 rate of return on invested capital - This is igornance because it reduces the cost of GHG from 20% of world GDP to 0.4% of world GDP.. this good sir, is denial.

  • prove it

  • MARXIST PROPAGANDA

  • @infowarsactivism, dumb white trash.

  • Chiner.

  • Who ever said the climate isn't changing? It has always changed. AGW is the biggest scam ever, playing on people's fears for money.

  • @TheKickerboy99, you who say the climate has "always changed" are basing that on data collected by the very scientists who keep telling you that Man is causing THIS particular change. Do you see the hypocrisy of cherry picking THEIR data?

You people do no original research and have no interest in understanding the details that prove AGW. You either dumb it down or make it overly complex, depending on what angle you're pushing at a given moment.

  • @Antithropocentric Did you know it has actually cooled in the last ten years? You seem to be the one doing no research, how about you try it. It’s a good thing you are in a growing minority, wonder why that is?

  • @TheKickerboy99, that whole "cooling since 1998" story is just another false talking point that refuses to go away. An extreme El Nino year was cherry-picked as the starting point and continuing trends were ignored. 2005 and 2010 have been the warmest years on record overall.

There's a good debunking of that 1998 claim at the SkepticalScience site. See the article: "What has global warming done since 1998?" (Intermediate version)

  • @Antithropocentric You are a puppet of the AGW crowd. Maurice Strong started the IPCC with the limited mandate of only looking at manmade causes of climate change. Why did he do that? Is he a scientist? Who would stand to gain power by taxing CO2? As the world catches on to the game being played, the players pop up one by one, as greed driven, not humanitarians. As for 05&10 being the warmest on record, lol! tell that to Europe. how about grapes in Britian, and Vikings in Greenland.

  • @TheKickerboy99 Maurice Strong DID NOT start the IPCC! LOL! YES, 2005 & 2010 were in fact the warmest years on record with 2007 & 1998 right behind. The past decade was the warmest on record. No, NASA DOES NOT admit "cooling"! LOL! Just a suggesting...STOP bringing Al Gore up because he is NOT a scientist.

  • @Viracocha711 I beleive you will find Maurice Strong's input into the creation and mandate of the IPCC is well documented. You seem to have blinders on to certain facts, hard to debate with one so brainwashed. The warmest time on record is still the medival warm period, regardless of your wishes to ignore it. Trying to say it was a local event and not a part of earths natural cycles is denial at its finest, there is no eveidence to support that belief. cont....

  • @TheKickerboy99 You said, "Go to the NASA web site you poor dumb puppet, you will find they have recorded "a dramatic cooling of the upper atmosphere due to declining solar activity" Which CLEARLY shows just how UTTERLY IGNORANT you are!! What you described is the exact fingerprint of Anthropogenic Climate Change! You literally are a USEFUL IDIOT of the Fossil Fuel Industry! Keep hoping the MWP is "warmest on record" but it won't change the FACTS!

  • @Viracocha711 Which are what exactly? How much warming have we seen? How fast is it warming compared to natural cycles? These are the questions you should think about, the answers are self explanitory. CO2 does cause some warming thats a given, is it dangerous, not at this time. Do species die off, yes, is it natural, yes. Does climate change, of course, are we soley responsible? No. Is the world going to end? Definatley. Is it going to be because of CO2? I think not.

  • @TheKickerboy99 We have seen almost 1c of warming. The rate warming is unprecedented & far faster than any "Natural Cycle" we know of. The rate of CO2 rise is very dangerous especially if we do not reduce CO2! NO, it is NOT natural! Species are dying off so fast right now & it is due HUMAN ACTIVITY! Humans put 130 times as much CO2 into the atmosphere than do volcanoes! The world will not end but human civilization will struggle to survive later this century if nothing is done!

  • @Viracocha711 Well your facts are off a bit. Though even if they are correct, what is your plan? China, India, and the rest of the developing world are going to increase CO2 output, a tax will not slow or stop it. Secondly do you realize how much plastic is in the oceans from us? To me that is worse than increasing a life giving trace gas like CO2, if you go into a rainforest CO2 is between 800-1200 PPM, so what, we get over run with plant life, lol, pick a different cause.

  • @Viracocha711 Further to your claim that the warming trend we are on is faster than any other period, well that is just not true. There have been many times in the records warming has occured at this rate and even faster. You guys all have these talking points not based on the facts, just on your desire to cause a panic. I would suggest you find the real facts, then make your comments. The stuff you are ststing here is right out of the IPCC handbook most of which has been refuted.

  • @TheKickerboy99 Can you point me to the Science Journal in which paper(s) published that refute the IPCC or anything within the assessment? If not, then why say such things?

  • @Viracocha711 As most people are aware, the IPCC is a political wing of the UN, not a scientific one. Many of the claims they have put out have been withdrawn as garbage scare tactics, the Himalayan glaciers, sea level rise, ect. These claims were based on worst case scenario computer models, not measured data. When measured data is used it is just not as scary, and thus ineffectual to the political cause they are promoting. Al Gore used the same junk science in his movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @Antithropocentric Even NASA admits its cooling now. Check the latest MEASURED DATA, the old IPCC mantra is falling apart under it. At any rate, China has increased its CO2 production 253% in the last ten years, Canada increased 20% being already developed. So how do you think countries like China are reacting to tax on CO2? LOL not very favourably to say the least. You still seem to be stuck on the Al Gore “facts” you should catch up on reality.

  • True. And reduced the acidification of the oceans. And on top of that, AGW theory is not wrong. It has an enormous base of physical support. The only thing that might save us in terms of the theory, is the underestimation of cloud albedo negative feedbacks, which seems very unlikely.
