@frequentairbusflyer8 ow wait is this a 2 engine or 3 engine plane? cuz somthings like you said they do shut down the engines. but this is not only to save fuel, but also after a whole flight the engines are extremely warm. so they can cool down.
@2609yannick sometimes if the airport is really crowded or the space that the plane parks in is very exact, they might shut down both engines (or be tugged to a taxiiway if they were departing) to keep the jetblast from damaging people or planes on the ground.
Awesome! Can't go wrong with jetBlue! The video was put together very well! I might be going down to Orlando this summer again instead of an International trip! @ 6:24 I think it was engine #2. . . They normally do engine #2 so when it arrives @ the gate they can open the cargo & service doors and not wait for that engine to shut down. . .
great videos bro 5 stars!

shutting down engine while taxing? Are you crazy???
2609yannick 8 months ago
@2609yannick
It's a common practice in the airline industry after landing, it saves on fuel.

@2609yannick
the a320 is a 2 engine aircraft, only one engine is needed during taxi

@pCf96 spoilers (speed brakes are also used during approach and descent to increase rate of descent and to reduce speed. very normal.
