  • I think that Heather Dale and Heather Alexander would sound good in a duet or something together :)

  • must...dance.... XD

  • I can't believe there is a Sidhe equivalent of the Devil went down to Georgia!!!!

  • Wow.... I love this song!! B*B!

  • that sent shivers through me... so beautiful

  • Now let see the Fae Queen vs the Devil.

  • i wish i could play the fiddle, just because of this song

  • omg this really made me dance XD

  • I wish I could see the fiddler's hands for this!

  • O: black violin? like, black black? i got a black violin, o.o yay, XD

  • you are welcome, i like most of her works

  • it is called old souls, the song with the clicked at renfeast

  • @fireball2375 THANK YOU!!!!

  • @fireball2375 I found it, thanks to your info. Thank you again!

  • I NEED HELP! I'm looking for a song by Heather that I heard a long time ago. It begins with a spoken word piece with Heather talking about "you meet someone at a Renfest and you really click, and you start talking... you go up on stage and then you come back and you keep talking... you invite them back to your tents and you're talking... it's late-still talking... the fire's burned down and you're still talking, 4am and you're talking... the water truck comes around and you're talking...

  • @retardrepellent

I think that may be Festival Wind [on album of that same name].

  • @retardrepellent

If no one answered yet: Its called Old Souls.

  • Heather Alexander flies out with the fairies, causing trouble - because that's what redheads do. Her changeling, Alexander James sings on. Find more in the Heatherlands (com)

  • All hail queen Mab

  • In a way, it's a real shame; Heather Alexander made one kick-ass woman...

  • 1 person has't been to a ceili

  • I really love the fiddle work...

  • The Queen said, "Skill is not enough, it can't compare to love!"

  • ...I liked the Queen's playing better.

  • This is getting me through late nights writing my dissertation in a lab. Thanks a lot.

  • You know, usually its my policy to troll corny lyrics, themes, and the transvestites who write them. I can't do that here.

Know that I recognize and respect good music, and I hear it here. Too bad its not more popular, it deserves to be.

  • Damn someone missed the like button =(

  • I sing this in my schools hallway all the time. Needless to say, I get some wierd looks. :D

  • @CamyWantzACookie I get weird looks whenever I sing. This will just add to my list.

  • At the end of the day he is the same person he always was, he was essentially a man stuck inside a woman's body. As you say, he is more comfortable as a man. I'm glad he decided to change, it brought out who he truly wanted to be and I admire him for that, it was a very big decision to make.

    Blessings and peace.

  • This is akin to the scottish faerie tale Taliesen meeting the Charlie Daniels Band's "Devil Went Down to Georgia". When she first heard it, my cousin's wife was completely shocked. She's a professional violinist and said it was really complex, lol.

  • @reddorothy its not really. Classicists tend to get so locked in their technique that they are sometimes suprised by the simple tricks fiddlers like to pull out.

  • This music > Nowadays Teenage 'sensations'

  • amazing how marvelous play

  • I do like this, I like to give a 100 thanks to the people who strung this together. Idk, but I would pay money to own these songs. I consider this music very charming, and moves me a lot. One would walk by and listen to this music on the side of the street, if some one had a violin and were playing the music. I put in 100 dollar bill. If the person needed it. If I have no money I would not stay cus music like this is not to just be free it deserves money!

  • @Ydoolb100 I recommend you buy the CD's then :)

  • mp3 download? i love this song <3

  • After she beats the Faerie Queen, she marries her husband to be, and their son moves to Georgia.

    It runs in the family.

  • @TheEndKing lol

  • Then she married her husband to be, and their son moved down to Georgia.

  • It sucks that s/he did what s/he did but if he is more comftable as a man, so mote it be.

  • everybody on the LJ fan group who's seen him before and after tend to say he looks much more comfortable with himself now. i can only take their word for it.

based on the videos i've seen of him here on YT, his performances definitely didn't lose anything. search for the Tricky Pixie version of "creature of the wood"; he gives an amazing show in that one.

  • I really miss her .....

  • if we've lost one minstrel, we've also gained a bard: watch?v=f6ditL022SM

  • I sure wish I could play like that.

  • Heather Alexander has one of the most beautiful, warm, and "come dance with me" voices I've ever heard, and she tells stories like a mother passing on secrets to her child...kind of a "yes, I know what they want you to believe, but here's how it REALLY is *wink*"

When she sings, it's easy to get lost in her music and words.

Thank the Muses for her and her violin...

  • you said it better than I, but that is exactment ! Love Heather much!

  • Heather is the only changeling/mortal to be able to beat the faerie queen so shes back in Ireland in on the islands of the fay. The child she impersonated is back he is Alexander James. I wish them both luck in their lives Auntie Heather if you see this I love you!-Amber

  • @SlitherinGirl heh, if only Alex really were Heather's relative, and Heather was still Heather.

  • @SlitherinGirl You're quite right that Heather returned to the realms of the sidhe, but those are off the west coast and inside the fairy mounds, not on the island of Ireland proper. Pacts were made. :)

  • @sirophiuchus very true and I'm glad they were

  • @SlitherinGirl Hehe.

  • @sirophiuchus lol. It would have been cool if Alec really was Heathers hier though, think of the duets hey could do!

  • @SlitherinGirl He is *really* her heir, and they have done duets together, in the album Wintertide. Check his website.

  • A cool alternative to the Devil went down to Georgia

    Well played

  • I'm writing a story about fairies, so this is wonderful music for thought.

  • <3 Much love for Heather Alexander! Thanks so much for uploading!

    Hi Keyte! =D

  • This is my favorite.

  • Same here. I LOVE Alexanders the Faerie Queen!!!

  • Thank you!!! I've been looking for this version of Faerie Queen on here for forever!!!
