Is it true, that the Galaxy Nexus, comes unlocked in Canada? Rogers charges 575 if you buy the phone, and Bell charges 650... Why would I buy the same phone for 75 dollars more, if it's unlocked? Please clarify this!?!?!?

@xxgg I have had 2D hardware acceleration turned on from the first day. It seems pretty smooth, and battery life is fine - but I haven't tried running for long without it to see if there is a difference. I suspect it is not noticeable, but I'll try it out. (I just unchecked it!)

@15mido Yes it comes unlocked out of the box. All I had to do was put my Telus sim card in.

Hey man can you please do a tutorial of how to root the samsung galaxy s running on 2.3.5 and then show how to install cyogen mod with ice cream sandwich. Awesome. I'm thinking about picking up this phone too (from a Galaxy S to this) but I'm not sure it's really worth the three year contract on Virgin. I'm guessing you've been with them for a while, think it's a good idea? I suppose I could always buy myself out...

And in regards to the camera, you're making the leap from 8mp with the S II to 5mp with the Nexus. This does affect the time it takes to save pretty significantly.
