  • lol stop that nonsense ha ha

  • The last time I have been to nevis was in 1994 with my mother and my son was 11mons at the time. For one day. Nevis has the sweetest mangos and ginips. HEAVEN. My family would go back and fourth from Nevis and St.Kitts before coming to the New York in the 60's.

  • Daddy is something else. TMI! I won't get into here about the scent of male sweat!

  • Beautiful footage! I am assuming that this your first time there but how long had it been since your dad was last there?

  • lol Windy Hill looks like fun. It's so nice to be able to travel to these places with you...All that lush tropical vegetation makes you wanna be there x.

  • I'm surprised the wind didnt carry you up into the air....black woman floating over Jamaica.

  • Nevis is not apart of JAmacia

  • yeah!!! big up straight out a Nevis.. nice vid

  • Wow! The view from that hill is BEAUTIFUL.

And the $0.50 a sniff, the monkey crossing, LOL! Your father is very entertaining. =)

  • Hello Tonya I see the signal in he side of the road it is like Gibraltar!

  • you and ur dad are darlings:)

  • Wow! Very cool. What beautiful country. Some of the tierra reminds me of Wanblee NDN reservation in Sout Dakota.

I wish we could have heard your Father. I would love to hear more history about the area. Thanks for sharing your delightful life. MM

  • This reminds me of the time I spent in Tortola--BVI. So beautiful!

  • wow thats a pretty nice place to visit it seems very intimate/quaint and beautiful long winding roads....is windy hill the highest point on the island??? you've got a beautiful life i'm happy for you

  • No, theres a big huge peak in the middle. windy hill is pretty hi though

    -TonnyaTko

  • how on earth you manage to have so interesting life? you are an inspiration for me ... those places you visit are so pleasant.. the only achivment i did was visiting Spain, Barcelona cool stadion ... but it cant be compared to your travels nice work!

    -Nohrel

  • Nohrel darlin, dont feel bad. I think my life is "ordinary" too. But if you open ur eyes u will see that there are things u do that others have not/can not/could not/or would not do...

Rememebr if you do something long enough it becomes plain to you... but that doesnt take away from its greatness, and you got one-up on me bcz I always wanted to go to spain!

    -Tonya

  • that place remind me africa.

    nice scenery

  • ok Tonya... get a pen and paper! I need a list of what your father eats and his exercise regimen! He looks friggin good! That's your DAD?!! How old is he? He couldn't be over 40 and he looks 35. So that would make you... what? 19?

  • Haha, that's funny. My dad's diet is not so great. I keep talking to him about that, and over the last few years he has gained a tremendous amout of weight.

(My dad is supposedly one of those "naturally thin" ppl... he had a 27" waist when he got married... and he boxed as a "welter weight" back in the day. We called him a Paper Weight for the longest!! ahahah!) Send me an priv message, I'll give you his page and you can tell him yourself-he's a ham that really LOVES compliments)

    -TonyaTko

That is quite a good mic on your cam!

    And a BEAUTIFUL island!

I am SO envious of you!! :)

  • Do people ever forget to drive on the left when they are visiting from america...I've always wondered that. Whenever I have had to do it it always made me concentrate on my driviing a lot more.

  • No, the people that do drive are confident (or concentrating hard enough) to stay on the correct side. I am not that confident yet, so I don't drive in places like this

    -TonyaTko

  • Monkeys are difficult to photograph... lol!

    Great video!

  • That was a great video do you know why it is so windy on the hill and not the rest of the island, i figure it is because you are at a high altitude. Is your father from St. Nevis and i have been doing reseach on the lesser and greater antilles and i realize the lesser antilles islands are extremely tiny on the map, but since you have been to them how small are they really and what is the most cultural based lesser antilles island. Peace Queen!

  • Uh-oh... you got one-up on me... I don't know what a lesser antilles is. And I haven't been to them. In this area, I have been to Nevis and St. Kitts. Nevis SEEMS small, but the longer you stay here the larger it gets. There are new places that I discover and have yet to discover... My father is from this island & there are places I've never been.

In terms of size, I'll look at a hill and it looks like its covered in shrubs and I realize those shrubs are really trees, from afar!

    -TonyaTko

  • this is very interesting i'm glad that you take us with you where you go i enjoy seeing the different places

  • My pleasure sweetipi

    -TonyaTko

  • Monkey Crossing...LOL! I thought that sign was joking, but a monkey did cross the road..LOL!! and how fast was that wind blowing??

  • You know it wasnt until today that I put 2+2 together, I didnt even realize a monkey crossed after we saw the sign... It was SOOO fast I almost didnt put it in bcz it was hard to see. I guess I am glad I did.

I dont know how fast the wind blows, but its deafening, it blew the water out my eyes and I couldnt breathe... it nearly knocked my camera loose! and I almost took more than one tumble like jack & jill I guess.

    -TonyaTKo

  • MONKEY CROSSING! LOL! I thought the sign was joking, then i seen that monkey crossing..lol..and how fast was that wind blowing on the hill??

  • Tonya, are you the only child? I enjoy watching the relationship that you have with your Dad. He has a cool accent by the way!

  • Only child? How quick we forget my video from the poll-site and how I was accosted by the police and my sister left me. I also have a brother. MY dad and brother are very much alike... except my dad is a natural performer and my brother is introverted and I'm the middle.

    -TonyaTko

  • There's only one TonyaTko, but you'll have to forgive me. I suffer dementia and have a hard time finding my car in grocery store parking lots, plus I correspond with a whole lot of people! Yet I can remember childhood experiences!

  • Hey, how come you only respond to controversy nowadays?

  • WHo only responds to controversy?

    -TonyaTko

    -TonyaTko

    -TonyaTKo

  • Interesting video Tonya Technical Knockout it must be something to have a father from the Carribean with his Afro-island accent.ALso they drive funny in your father's homeland. Steering wheel on the wrong side of the car and what....(Joke)

  • I have two pages, (The Vlog & The SHOW) make sure you add this one (the SHow page) to your friendslist so your comments can go through without having to "pend approval."

    -TonyaTko

  • OMG, nature is so fabulous!

  • 'Workers with strong body odor'? HAHAHA!

  • Your Dad is a joker.

  • nice :)

  • LOL...."$0.50 a sniff".... funny!

Great travelogue... holy cow, that place needs wind turbines!

  • WOW! Somebody else jUST said the same thing.

    -TonyaTko

  • i guess slim people need weights attached to their feet... LOL

  • Actually a slim person might be able to cut through the wind

    -TonyaTko

  • Hey Tonya! Thanks so much for the mini travelogue! Your Dad is an endearing character. Is Nevis a place where he has lived before? Being a proponent of renewable energy, all that wind looks like a prime place to build some wind turbines! -Dennis

  • hhahah yah, my dad is Nevisian... and actually so am I. ;-)

You know what... I was thinking of a hang-gliding club... but turbines will work too!

    -TonyaTko

  • Do you know the basis for the aversion to having their pictures taken?

  • Its kinda old school or something. I don't know. But its a huge problem, this is why I have no footage of local folks. Everyone is like getting angry everytime my camera comes out. Only tourists will let me film them.

    -TonyaTko

  • You mean oooooold school as in capturing their spirits maybe?

  • Maybe I don't know... people have gotten SO HOSTILE that no one will talk to me about it afterwards.

    -TonyaTko

  • Hey Babe... Loving the footage as usual.. THat place looks amazing.. I definitely need to travel more..

  • Tonya youre a partner? Congrats!! :)

  • Wow, the scenery is wonderful. It's like a never ending vacation.

  • Your Dad gonna get his box on? That shtuff 'll get you featured! ;o)

And what kinda monkeys are those runnin' all over the place? Howler? Spider, maybe?

    Oh. Nice font BTW.

  • They are the ones that look just like the silhoutte in the sign at 2:37, they are small and a beigish-grey with long tails... they look kinda like the ones from old british movies that used to wear the bellman outfits or sit on people's shoulders dancing for change... you know the type?

    -TonyaTko

  • Make sure you guys put some extra coins in your pocket so you don't blow away.

    What an amazing place!

  • Dang, thats windy.. LoL!

  • Wow that kinda looks like fun LOL Thats really windy!!!

  • I like the relationship you and your father have! lol yo dad got crunk in the end!!! lol

  • LOL!! He has his moments.
