He is by far the most insane guitar player....his playing alone is killer, but combine that with the energy of a 2oz crack rock....its superhuman. So many of the "greatest guitar players" just stood there, or maybe swaggered around a bit, but the fact that he can play at all while, well doing what he does, is far more impressive than a sweep picking solo lightning speed while stationary. Best living Rock guitarist hands down!

I think somepeople are forgetting it's blues based raunchy loud rock. TOTALLY AWESOME. Blues based riffs are not supposed to be very complicated as arrangements but they sound much groovier and cooler than an EVH solo. I believe Angus can do that but it isn't he music he likes. However, NO ONE plays blues heavy rock like Angus. No one.

i have a friend who believes that syster gates from avenged sevenfold is by far supreme to angus because he does sweep picking really fast in his solos, now, looking at these solos of syns, they are all the same sweep up, sweep down, sweep up, sweep down, basically they all suck, but suck really fast. speed doesnt make a good guitarist, soul and emotion does and angus has soul, emotion, skill, speed and an awesome charismatic effect.
