@RatifiedCow Def. for a woods knife I would go with the BK 2, less expensive as well and the 1095 on the BK2 will be easier to sharpen in the field and perhaps more user friendly. If you are going to bring a knife overseas though, or use one on your LBE, the FIN would be what you wanted over the much heavier BK 2.
Was wondering, since you review this quite a bit, is there a way to get this sheath horizontally mounted? Or does it only mount vertically? Ka Bar doesn't reply very well, or at all.

@FranchiseChronicles Thank you for the reply. Been searching for those straps and can't seem to find what you've described. I'm now stuck with the Becker BK7 in mind as an option compared to this FIN. Any suggestions? Primary use is basic knive usage, self-defense while hunting (no side-arms allowed in Canada while hunting), and the random Field Training Xs with my squadron, and fishing/camping. Which is easier to care for, and in the end will be best suited? Thanks a lot again.

I know I this question might sound out of place but I gotta ask. What would you recommend as a hard-use survival knife? A coldsteel recon scout or a kabar fin? I really like the form of the FIN but I can't decide. I live in WI by the way, considering the temps during the winter.
@iyBesao Boy, that is a tough one but I would go with the KaBar if your life depends on it (hard use survival knife). I know much of the hesitation of using D2 has to do with the hardness, but I would rather develop my strategy around that (if the temps were really really cold) than rely on the quality control of Cold Steel which has dropped in my opinion. I really like the CS RScout though and it is a tough question!
GregandNancyW, I wear gloves when I am trying to break them in, try not to read so far into it. If you cannot watch a video without getting so worked up, then get some playdough and call it good. If you do not like the videos, do not watch them. Seems like a simple solution to your aggitation.
You look like a freak with the gloves. Do you have dermatitis, or leprosy? If you can't review a knife without wearing gardening gloves, then brother, get some playdough and call it good.
There's enough Nutnfancy knockoffs posting reviews (and frankly, I find him boring), so please just be yourself.
i thought he never pulled out the knife.. 8 minutes of blablabla.. shit!

I'm in OEF, which knife would be more tactically suited the Ka-Bar listed above or the SOG SEAL Pup Elite?
