  • try vaseline on the side of the box, so that the ants cant climb up it. we used to do that with our tree.

  • i like pouring diatomaceous earth around two inches high and two inches wide around the legs of my hive and i no longer have any ants and very few mites

    nice video thank you

  • The ants try to set up house under the first cover, to discorage the ants I take the cover off on good days, after a few day I put the covers back on and the ants slowly come back, a never ending battle, we are going to harvest some honey in a week, update we now have 3 boxes on each hive, the top one is a queen excluder so the workers store only honey in the top, the queen can't get in to lay eggs, also this sping we made 3 splits from the 2 hives

  • The ants don't seem to bother the bees

  • Don't all of those ants hurt the bees?

  • Nice job. I would suggust you keep all the brush cut back. Ants suck. Dont give them an easy way to access your world.
