Omg....I was born in 67...(i figured out Beatles were doing 'Lovely Rita' at the same time zone minute....my uncles got me these records...when I went to kindergarden and the kids were listening to Seasame St 45s, I was soooooo far in life......thanx uncle Roland, luv you and all you cats that dig what I'm sayin.
@Malatrova It was filmed with the blue screen so they could put images (video) behind the group. Some where along the line they thought they didn't need it or ran out of budget money for it. If somebody copied this video on their system, they could put images behind it. WOW- put your wedding video behind it like they were playing at your wedding. ha ha lol
Too bad Jeff gave up working with lead singers not long after this. I know they can be prima donnas and pains in the ass, but his Rod S / Bobby T years are and always will be my favorite. Thanks for posting.
Jeff was way-cooler with an old Strat vibrato, a Colorsound Overdriver, and a non-master plexi Marshall than any of these modern shredder-types with their Floyd Roses and high-gain rack-systems. And his tone would totally-drown those guys out.
Seeing these sometimes makes me wish Jeff would go back to using a pick part of the time because he plays with such absolute confidence, imagine what he could do now with how much he's grown over the years, with both pick "and" fingers! The speed, along with his usual magnificent playing- everyone else would hang up their guitars!
@sabotogeable I think these may have been filmed in Japan. There's a lot of Jeff Beck stuff (concerts, television appearances, etc.), that have been filmed over there for decades- I wish Jeff would have some of it put in a DVD boxset, or something for release!
Nice ! I saw the JBG in August of 72...Berkeley, CA. Argent opened the show. Bojart and Appice had joined the band for the 72 US tour. Tench was not in the initial line-up...but he had joined the tour by the time they reached Berkeley. What an awesome band !!!!!!
must buy record!!!!

This is a great album post Rod and Wood but I seriously think rod would've torn this up back in the day.

Sarcastic hoodlum of a guitar player.
Positively immoral.
Non like him.

@dantean +1,000. His first four LP's are all I ever listen to anymore. BBA was bad, then things got even worse with that Jan Hammer guy.

@dantean Amen. And even the worst singer on earth would be better than Jan Hammer.

The blue screen being left blank makes this footage incredible. Its so much crisper then the usual 70s live TV recordings.

nazz1966 1 year ago
コージーとジェフは双子のようです。
しかし、コージーのバスドラが大きい!
ひょとしたら、このバンドの要は、クライブ
チャーマンの優しいベースなのかも。
ありがとうございました。
