  • Happy 70th birthday, Brian!

  • I am happy about one thing in life and that is to share a birthday with Brian

  • Happy Birthday Brian! : ) x

  • Happy Birthday Brian ! I will always Miss you4ever !!! RIP rock in Heaven xxx

  • Happy Birthday Brian, wish you were still here with us. We love and miss you so much!

  • He was soft spoken like Jimi.

  • Brian was a smart cat, more articulate and easier on the ears than the other Stones. He could string together sentences. You can tell from this interview alone that he wouldn't have fit in well with Jagger and Richards.

  • Just imagine Brian without the Stones. You can't, there wont be any Rolling Stones.

  • What broadcast is this from? what year? I have never seen this before.

  • The interviewer is a complete ass, thru & thru, obviously. & Brian was a shining star -- here i'm referring to his humanity -- a thoroughly good person. The interviewer was far worse off than Helen Keller (deaf, blind & a dumbshit) not to pick up on this & act more respectfully

  • keith defies the realm of life, really not many can live through his life, perhaps brian was going that way, but never made it, a waste of great talent

  • Thank you for sharing---he's too beautiful.

  • Jones was the Stones. Need proof? Look at the classics they did while he lived, compared to the bluesy garbage they came up with later. Four guys with talent, and Keith Richards. What else can you say?

  • Quite a remarkable array of personas were the Rolling Stones. And no less so this Brian Jones. I could just listen to him for hours - were there that much tape of him being interviewed. He mentions ' surreal'. Nothing much was more surreal than himself.

  • thegas70 - who knows why Keith is still going. Perhaps because he simply doesn't have Brian's sensitivity.

  • @Marykatyk wanna know the secret? he loves life, thats it.

  • Heartbreaking to know how tragically this incredibly gifted musician died. His downfall was imminent the day he met Anita Pallenberg.

  • @Marykatyk

so how come keith is still going?

  • Just loved brian, he was the stones vouise. he was clever.

  • women can do alot of harm to a circle of men.

  • i love hes soft voice

  • daft posh southern twat .

  • @shareschannel southern? Are u a fucking tard or what? He was from Cheltenham u arse. Go back to the slum where u belong.

  • For someone like Keef Richards or Charie watts to criticise Brian jones is like me criticising Richard branson for not being an entrepreneur. The Rolling Stones with Brian wouldn't have ever

been. Brian couldn't take such a loutish, drug ridden life. The Stones, clearly did very well out of it.

  • Brian Jones was quite articulate. From accounts written about him, he could be very egotistical and boorish, but one could just ascribe this to "youthful indiscretion". If he were alive today, there's a chance he'd have shaped up his life better. He did have talent.

  • 1. Brian was a junkie jerk who physically abused women and mistreated others in his family and friends. He fathered several bastard children which he refused to support. He may have been talented but he was a cruel human being.

    2. Mick and Keith were also jerks who mistreated Brian and also family and friends and used anyone as stepping stones to advance their own gains without the slightest concern for others.

    3. As gifted as they are, all of them are flawed human beings.

  • @ScooterpupReljac Totally Agree!

  • @herminioli77

Yeah, when these people get this kind of fame, it just magnifies their alreay over-blown ego and personality flaws....

  • @ScooterpupReljac Yup, talent and being flawed often goes hand in hand.

  • @atticthoughts

Yeah, I don't claim to be an angel with no flaws either. But the level of fame and fortune that these guys acheived at such a young age created its own sense of invincibility and that they were above moral reproach....Same thng with the Kennedy family. That level of money and class breeds its own morality, howvever extremely flawed it is.

  • @ScooterpupReljac I agree. One Brian's friends told me that they were grown kids with London as a playgorund. Nothing was forbidden and the doors were open whereever they went. Drugs were seen as pretty harmless and women were just things to play with. The lyrics in some of the songs by the Stones reveal some of that. Brian wasn't alone in being flawed but since he is dead it's easy to blame just him.

  • @atticthoughts

Yeah, my biggest problem with him besides his physically abusive behavior toward women, was his outright refusal to financially aid his illigitimate children...he was enjoying tremendous fortune and fame then and that is just unforgivable that his kids were on welfare....I know that is an unpopular opinion with some people here, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

  • @ScooterpupReljac His abusive side is nothing that a fan of him like me defend in any way. But I do find it sad that he is getting so much shit for it while others who have done the same has been "forgiven" and moved on. All I know is that Brian wasn't proud about that side himself. It's also not entirely true that he refused to financially aid his kids because he did to certain point. But it's a complicated story since the kids lived different lives. But it's a tragic story.

  • @ScooterpupReljac Brian faced uncermountable pressures from the band and others.

And if he was abusive to women, I doubt it was to all of them... perhaps it was in the heat of the moment.. however, this man should not be damned over something like that.

No one is perfect.. and if he did hit Fucking Anita,,, she had it coming, her trashy mouth

lead to alot of trouble. The day Brian met that bitch, he was doomed. She manipulated alot in that circle of ppl.. I wonder if she visits his grave?

  • @gillybgoode

"the day brian met that bitch, he was doomed" what a weak pussy brian must have been then? no worries, just treat her like shit, give her the bash, just like every other woman he had before, and it's all cool coz he's brian jones?

  • @gillybgoode

by the way, i think brian is an amazing musician!

  • We all love and Miss you Brian

  • God I love him so fureakin much!!!!! Ugh!! I'll meetcha in heaven, my friend!

  • BJ was a genius in the begining. But after the drugs began to take him over, he became a very unstable person. Sometimes beating the shit out of Anita, sometimes the band were afraid of him. He got to a point where he could barely play guitar anymore and sometimes could barely speak in full sentances. I loved BJ and I think the early days of the Stones were great... All due to BJ's influence. Were Mick and Keith jeoulous? I think so, very much! But Brian was a complete mess in the end.

  • FOR ALL THE PPL WHO'S HATING:

IF U DON'T LIKE BRIAN JONES...THEN WHY IN THE HELL R U WATCHING THIS FUCKING VIDEO...

  • The Stones totally sucked and Brian Jones was a worthless, little peckerhead, lol

  • We Miss You B.J. !

  • Brian put the spirit into the stones music plain and simple

  • Brian was most of the band when they started. I think he was owed songs. I like Keith a lot, but I think they weighed him out.

  • rip brian :(

  • Brian was a little cunt

  • @AriaHoran and your a big one

  • I agree. He was ahead of his time, best looking .and more talented and had more insight and depth than the rest of them. It's the drugs ultimately that destroyed him more than anything else

  • Brian Jones has a more upper class accent than the other Rolling Stones, doesn't he?

  • Died too young. Somehow people connect the Rolling Stones with Mick Taylor and even more Ronnie Wood so much. But Brian Jones never was allowed remain with the Rolling Stones long enough and lived long enough to do the late 1969 at MSG Concert and 1970s through the Early 1980s Arena-Stadium Rock Tours. Somehow life is so unfair when a Founder of a Legendary Group does not live long enough to see the best days ahead for that Group.

  • RIP Brian I'm happy that at least some people remember you :)

  • Lewis Brian Hopkin-Jones; The first brilliant slide guitarist in England, and founder of The Rolling Stones.

    R.I.P. We Love You !

  • What? Mick n Keith starting composing songs. Brian could not write. So why should he be the leader? Anyway he was a Blues god and to bad he got hooked on seconal.

  • @dezertfox4323 Brian did try writing songs but they were rejected. He actually collaborated with someone and they wrote a song but somebody else recorded it

  • all i can say , his voice was soft, his hair was fab,

  • the earliest stones with brian was some of the best music

  • Brian was the leader of the Band. The rest was just a cover up.

  • hplongive - Stop calling women whores. If you're a man then it just makes you sound like a bitter misogynist and if you're a woman then frankly you should know better. Pallenberg may not have been playing with a full deck at times, but let's face it - neither was Jones. It was the 1960's - free love. Everyone was sleeping with everyone - d'you think Jones was faithful to Anita? Please... Free love for our favourite male rock stars - but them women were just whores, right? Creepy-much!

  • @aerialkate ...what are you on about nutty person...Brian from what I seen isn't really a rock star...he's more of an artist...while jagger and richards pose, this bloke seems to be wiggling his way through the rabbit hole of life...he got snuffed out by a dude in a fit of rage...he was an artist in the true sense...

  • @johnediamond - Is English your second language? I'm sorry but I don't want to take advantage of a person who is compromised in that respect. A native English speaker would have understood that I'm highlighting hplongive's misogyny. There's no way he'd have ever called Jones, Jagger or Richards a whore for being promiscuous (Jones fathered quite a few kids out of wedlock), but he had no qualms about casually applying it to a woman. Which makes him a creep and you - sadly confused.

  • @aerialkate ...certainly the bloody kings english is to be used herein...I'd certain agree with your stance on the hypocritical stance of Mr. Hplonglive...he is too short in years to have a proper perspective...so he called the women bloody whores...that doesn't make one a creep...did you know that Jones was an A level physics practitioner...my point is blokes make mistakes as do whores..we need clarity here sir...

  • @johnediamond - Let me give you some clarity then. It's clear that I'm sick of the word 'whore' and its assorted seedy little synonyms being bandied about so freely on boards devoted to dead rock stars. I've noticed that some of the posters who apply it (exclusively to women) are not 'short in years' , as they often go on to state their age when arguing with younger posters - pleading seniority. You're an apologist for misogyny and had I not pointed it out - you would have been fine with it.

  • @aerialkate ...I assume you are of the female persuasion as "Kate" is in parcel of your screen name...aerial I assume means you interested in being in the air or sky...now misogyny is used by both sexes and all races..see Rap lyrics...many musicians use their position to attain sexual oppurtunity just like athletes...calling someone a whore, nigger, cocksucker, faggot, prick, is part of the human lexicon..unless you want to punish speech like a Fascist...

  • @johnediamond - I'm of the humanitarian persuasion. I would argue that those ugly epithets you listed are examples of the inhumanity lexicon. People are free to use those words. I'm free to comment on their choice of words. And it is a choice. When idiots want to criticise women on boards like this they always do so in sexual terms: whore, slag, slut etc. As though women are one dimensional, sex obsessed nutters. Do you think they could possibly be projecting their own fucked-up issues?

  • @aerialkate ..well, I mean I wonder if words can hurt like a physical assault..Brian himself got snuffed by someone who got pissed off and held him under....women and men are being manipulated by the richest people..the 21 st century is similar in that those in control of wealth simply make money on Hedging bets....

  • We really never knew Brian Jones only what was out there before the internet

He started the rolling stones .

    justavideo1000

  • he was a sick puppy...it gets to a point, somethings gotta break. It's a shame, but that's what it comet to. I've seen it, and combine that with what was happening to them, responsibilities, ect....if things aren't functioning as needed, it's time to break. If he had survived, I have no doubt, he would have re-joined the band.

  • Brian Jones was the only one of the Rolling Stones to be jealous. He was jealous because he thought he was better than the others and even looked down on Bill to start with.He was jealous because he couldn't write songs and that it one of the main things that made the band bigger than they would have been otherwise. Its inevitable the songwriters are going to get more attention and Jagger was going to be the focus of attention as the flamboyant lead singer ; fact.No one destroyed Jones but himself

  • Hi folks, this video is from 1964. Regards

  • Comment removed

  • Considering the vast quantities of chemicals he injested he comes off quite articulate and intelligent....

  • @decemberschild1217 Well, he WAS ; he wasn't going to lose THAT at his age was he ?

  • ...lol maybe but I've heard some Morrison interviews at about the same age and he was pretty out there....

  • @decemberschild1217 Yes but this is earlier for Brian, before he was very messed up, around 1965 I'd say

  • He was so gorgeous. I too believe that the Stones set him up to be murdered. That's ok. They will love it in Hell!

  • He already had bastard children.

  • The thing Brian says about the permanency of marriage being frightening is stupid, as very often marriages aren't permanent anyway, no matter how much people intend them to be ; it doesn't tie you forever anyway

  • Brian was very eloquent and well educated but he was emotionally mixed up even from a very young age. He was pretentious, emotionally immature, vain, provocative and alternately charming and cruel. He became increasingly unstable. His musical aptitude is unquestionable

  • @TheKenfig du you think he was a macho?

  • @keineahnung1001 I don't get exactly what you mean. Do you mean an 'alpha male' type ?. If so, no ; he was sensitive with a more artistic temperament, but he was also kind of damaged and immature emotionally, so was capable of low level anti-social behaviour towards others

  • @TheKenfig

he wasnt a "alpha male" but was he rather what you will today call "emo"?

i heard he was suicide exposed

  • @keineahnung1001 No, he wasn't 'alpha male', but isn't THAT 'macho' ?. I don't really know what 'emo' is. My first comment of two weeks ago summed him up pretty much for me

  • I went to the same school as Brian, he was very talented and also very fucked up. His death was an accident, he was no more doomed than the other Stones, but he was a bit more vulnerable, and that added to his appeal.

  • Well Brian told the public he thought" Eric Burdon was the greatest singer in all of England" and I think that caused problems between him and Jagger--

  • Poor Brian...at 3:49 the interviewer asks him : "What is Surrealism?" and Brian is unable to answer straight out. Takes him a few minutes before he offers an inane comment about

abstraction'...Brian will always be The Rolling Stones for me. They made some great music after he was gone but the band ceased to be interesting.

  • Keith and Mick were fucking jealous of Brian's looks and talent! That's why they picked on him and Keith actually stole his girlfriend! Plus, instead of helping him get over drugs and move on, they asked him to leave the band when he was struggling the most!

  • @hplonglive What you write is stupid and superficial. Brian was his own worse enemy. Keith did not steal anyone ; Anita was badly mistreated by Brian and left him for Keith who wasn't the same as him. He destroyed himself and wasn't capable of making enough of a contribution to the band. He had psychiatric problems, which he always had

  • @TheKenfig There's nothing superficial in my comment!Anita was a whore! She first dated Brian, then left him for Keith[she must have been blind if you ask me] and as Keith said in his book, Anita had an affair with Mick as well. And they all did drugs! Keith can't even speak properly now because of the drugs and cigarettes! And how come evryone loved Brian except for Mick and Keith? Jealousy maybe?

  • @hplonglive Nah, it's superficial and you don't know why, but you will never admit it.I don't dispute who Anita slept with, but read my comment again ; Brian destroyed himself. How did anyone else do it ?. Jones had personality problems throughout his life.Your comment is superficial because Mick & Keith had been good friends of Brians. What did they have to be jealous of ? They had all the songwriting nailed, the money from it and were the main focus. They would never have been jealous of Brian

  • @TheKenfig He did have serious problems especially with drugs but what i'm saying is They never tried to help him!! And as Charlie Watts said 'We took everything from him when we kicked him out of the band!' I'm not gonna admit anything! you really need to do a research on his last days and you'd better read Bill Wyman's book as well to get your facts straight. And btw, Keith and Mick were the main focus only after Jones was out. Again, if you read Bill's book you'll understand what i'm saying.

  • @hplonglive What could they do ?. Jones alienated himself from the band in fits of nastiness, general absence, arrogance, paranoia, self pitty and sickness. He even had a nurse but the band couldn't be full time nurse maids. Don't be so daft about those two being the focus only after Brian was out. Brian was out by mid 67 really, and they still did their best to carry him and cover it all up. Mick was the main focus by 65. I've read lots ; been a big fan since the 60s

  • @TheKenfig Then Read more! not just Jagger's and Keith's interviews[ofcourse they're gonna say he was the problem! They didn't even like him!] or Wikipedia . Look for everyone else's opinions and you'll see that i'm right. And Hey take it easy right there! Since the sixties? So, what you're telling me is that you're 70yrs old? You're a joke honey.

  • @hplonglive Don't patronise me, I've read more than you've had hot dinners. You think you're right if you follow 'everyone else's' opinions eh ?. That sounds like a sheep if ever there was one. You jump to whatever conclusions you want with your 'maths' ; I know what I told you all right

  • @TheKenfig And how am i supossed to know when i wasn't even born when this video was taken..? At least i follow the majority's opinion not just Keith's.oh wait! You were a teen at that time! You should tell us! right? lol

  • @hplonglive they picked on him cause he was a twat to everyone around him, he was a woman beater and was never reliable and let the band down many times cause he was too intoxicated

  • @hplonglive they did it because he wasn't pulling his own weight i mean hello no one could help if anita couldn't and believe me mick and keith tryed to help but couldn't so get your facts straight and by the way if looks mean beatle mop and talents playing rhythm guitar and other weird instruments no one cared about then yes they did.

  • @hplonglive All facts , near Brians death, sugests that jealous thoughts were linked to inner archetypic forces , which lead him to the pool.

  • @hplonglive And apart from all that you say, when he was fired of his OWN band, he really wanted to settle down and leave drugs.. then, when Richards was into drugs so heavily in the 70´s they didn´t do the same.. they really helped him..

  • @Inheavenwithjohn Maybe they learned from what happened with Brian?

  • @hplonglive That's the worst conspiracy therory I've ever heard, he was beautiful, to be sure, but Brian started out as the leader & was edged out by the fact Mick & Keith were the songwriting team, and EVERYONE says how difficult he became with fame, I don't think Keith would have the heart to do that anyway...but then Keith wasn't all there himself & all he has EVER cared about is the music, so if you must blame someone blame Mick, he's the only egomaniac, controlling person

  • @hplonglive Keith did NOT steal his girlfriend, in HER own words, Brian was throwing furniture at her when she left him for Keith.

  • @jarileigh It's true that Keith didn't stole her. But he pissed his friend in face by letting his friends girl give him a BJ in the back of the car when his friend wasn't there. Anita was a strong and manipulative lady. She used the violence as an excuse for the break up while she was just as violent herself. She's known to have kicked Brian's ass as well. She wasn't victim in the same manner as Suki was. Brian was a bastard towards women but he had no control of Anita what so ever.

  • @hplonglive Sounds like Christians who kick the people who need help the most out of the church.

  • this is the Brian I will always remember: Creative, intelligent, forthright, soft-spoken and handsome. His pupils sure are dilated. Must have been the LSD.

  • DIED WAY TO SOON. WHAT WOULD THE STONES BEEN LIKE WITH 30 MORE YEARS OF BRIAN. BEAUTIFUL MAN. FUCKIN DRUGS.

  • Who is that at 2:53?

  • @blutocampbell Charlie Watts, drummer

  • he's right

  • He had such a lovely voice...masculine & soothing.

  • he was a very sweet person

  • He was murdered

  • I do not think MIck and Keith's fault. Brian was too sensitive to live this world.

He has sickness not so strong physical condition. Therefore he does not like to tour because tour was so hard and cannot sleep well. He drunk and tried to forget his physical weakness (Pain) Keith said that Brian's condition was very bad. Mick worried about Brian's physical condition. TOO MUCH DRUGS.

Brian was afraid of getting old. He told friend to die before 30 years old.

    Actually he passed away 27.

  • @Masajager my brother was saying how sensitive BJ was, and then we see this amazing comment on this insightful vid

  • @1Diamonddoor Yes, I thought Stones kicked out BJ however stones worried about BJ's physical condition.

Even if BJ did 1969 tour BJ would go to hospital. My opinion is NOT termination JUST vacation for him. Then

BJ will back to stones. However addiction was very badly at that time. Thus stones did final dicision.

When BJ was gone, everybody cried and sad. Even if Keith and Mick was sad. Because x 25 Video film

Everybody talked about BJ. He was so important that stones talked a lot. Thanks.

  • @Masajager yes Mr. Jones was truly loved, but he had the split personality due to the drugs and his inteligence and health problems.. this is the way it seems to me>> i think his vulnerability caused mixed emo and lotsa talk about him, so confusing, what to do damned if you do, damned if ya don't.. so they let him go...

it is what it is that's all>>

this seems so real this vid my brother says this vid frightens him, as if bj was here very haunting.. love your insight well said !!

  • @1Diamonddoor - Thank yoiu very much. BJ loved drugs and drinking so much.

BJ has Bronchial Asthma. This was the reson why he dead only 27 due to health

matter. BJ should have stopped both drug and drinking so much. However BJ

could not stopped. Finally both Mick and Keith decided termination. I like BJ but

I do not agree drug and drinking especially Bronchial Asthma. Maybe BJ has

HUGE STRESS about women, music, and relationship. Charlie said SO SORRY

    and everybody regret about this.

  • @1Diamonddoor Thank you very much. BJ has Bronchial Asthma and depression.

He told his friends that I will die before 30 years old. Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix,

Janis Joplin, everybody 27 years old. BJ walked beyond the point.

Please see 1968 (Rock'n Roll Circus) BJ almost sickness(Very bad condition)

I think he need medical inspection with doctor like Michel Jackson.

TOO MUCH STRESS FOR HIM since 1967's arrested and Anita left BJ and

Bronchial Asthma. I think stress killed BJ.

  • @1Diamonddoor Thank you very much. Drug addiction is very bad.

BJ could not stopping. John Lennon and Paul Mccartoney and

George Harrison loved BJ so much. However nobody could stop

addiction. Lennon said BJ was young, BJ looked very good but

several years later he became sick but he was a nice man. Paul

said BJ was a very good player. George said I like BJ so much.

BJ was loved by The Beatles.

  • @Masajager yes i have heard this but not all you said, this is very enlightening.

  • keith and mick treated him like shit!!

  • drug dribble. he was just a pop star, good one at that. he never cured cancer.

  • dammit, he was the most interesting Stone, why did he have to go?

  • If you watch the " Rock n Roll Circus" thing...you can come to one easy conclusion....Kieth isnt-good-for-his-riffs.... he fails to duplicate the end of sympathy for the devil......But Brian battered as he was pulls out the slides for "no expectations" flawlessly...Oh and um youknow the Jagger doing the devil worship......no comment , but is wasnt released last century was it?

  • He's pretty hot.

  • its interesting that hes so hard to assess

  • Brian was a brilliant musician. I don't claim that he was a saint, and it's really just rude some of the things that you're all saying. You're entitled to your own opinions, but you didn't know him, you didn't know his troubles. Leave it alone. I love Brian. And whether or not you do, you have to admit that The Rolling Stones wouldn't exist if he hadn't started them, so at least give him that much respect.

  • He had a deep voice O.o

  • Comment removed

  • Like stop talkin bout him!! None of u guys don't really know him and neither do I so you don't know what he did and shit!! Just shut the fuck up and watch the video damn!! And he's dead anyway so lik just get the fuck!!!!!

  • 2:52- random cut to charlie stoned, smoking a square

  • Seems the Stones did pretty well without Brian Jones.

A person who regularly beat his women, fathered children he never supported, and in general, was a horrible person. Marinanne Faithfull called him a monster.

The Stones didn't even go to his funeral. Nuff said.

  • @rodfromcranston (Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts were at his funeral)

  • I think he was in the wrong industry, he should have probably been in film

  • Amazing how we're attracted to something or someone despite their monumental flaws that we're aware of. Much beauty there in many aspects along with ugliness.Perhaps the pull of the magnetism supersedes all...kinda like a planet... or a star? I guess that pretty much defines him

  • Comment removed

  • I think I'm gunna HURL!!!

  • I think I'm gonna HURL!!!

  • He says some interesting things here...

  • @PONYBOY430 No they don't. Go read Keith's book.

  • jones was a real smartass and had contempt for americans but i know you guys worship anything with a british accent

  • Robert Johnson started the 27 club

    Brian was amazing!!

  • that genius, someone I could translate the interview into Spanish?

  • Man I could listen to him read the dictionary.

  • @LavaLivi Finally a funny yet honest comment. And I completely agree. SOMEONE RESURRECT THIS MAN AND HAVE HIM READ TO PEOPLE. CHOP CHOP.

  • He started the 27 club!

  • nice to hear him speak...so very soft spoken...and sad.

  • @wolfhounddennsgteros #1Brian Jones was a large part of the Rolling Stones sound in their early recordings, but definitely cannot be said to be the Rolling Stones, as they are still performing new original work to this date.#2The Stones are no longer participating in the drug scene of rock and roll. That was mainly a component of the band in the first third of their career, including when Brian was in the band.#3Keith Richards is anything but two faced. He stands by what he says to the dot.

  • @wolfhounddennsgteros Also, on a side note, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are widely known, and can be obviously noted as, not only the ones that formed the band, but the reason that their sound exists. They are the chief songwriters, and without Mick Jagger's incredibly precise and soulful vocals, and Keith Richards bluesy economics on the guitar, there would be NO Rolling Stones. #4 The Rolling Stones may be a marketing machine, I'll give you that, but no one has the right to say that they

  • @wolfhounddennsgteros have no soul! These men have given their lives to play this music. They have reached out to millions to have their songs and ideas be heard. They are the epitome of soul. And to say that because they make a lot more money than everyone else, that they are lesser in any way, is a complete fallacy. You can't argue with success. They have more of it than many of us will ever know. They will always be an inspiration to bands for years to come.

    With or without Brian Jones.

  • was this shortly before he died? i 'love' that all the other stones hated him apparently. they are so f-ing insecure. i think the record company had him murdered. friggin pathetic. he was smart tho. and lucid. the rest of the band is boring and infantile as hell in comparison.

  • Brian was the Rolling Stones. His group. The others killed his soul and his being. Now the Stones are just One super drug burnout, A lead man who is simply all business and smoke, a real two face SOB, Ronnie Wood a good guy caught up in the aura of drug sex and rock and roll. Wyman got out in time. The drummer, an opportunist. When all rolled up into a tidy package, it is a marketing money making machine. No depth or soul. Just a commercial success story-RIP Brian Jones rest in peace

  • Did he ever marry?

  • @RandyAKing No, Brian was too much of a womanizer to get married. :)

  • @atticthoughts yeah, in spite of creating six children in the course of his womanizing.

  • @beccahday Yeah, but that's not womanizing. That's stupidity. ;)

  • @atticthoughts womanizing is stupidity, too. ;) and in the course of using and leaving women, children are frequently born and discarded. he was a brilliant man and gifted musician, but let's be real.

  • @beccahday I can't and won't argue with that. :)

  • @atticthoughts i'm glad we're on the same page and can see our musical heroes realistically. :)

  • Quite a hypnotizing being.

  • Well, his musicianship and the number of instruments he played, means a lot to me. Plus, his fashion was so excellent, that it motivates me to get clothes like this. Apparently, he wrote songs, but was so afraid to bring them to the band for approval, that he never did. (Youtube interviews) I think that he had a rough childhood, leading to the insecurities of later, but his musicianship, charm and fashion, are most legendary.

  • What a hair...

  • Any information on when and where this was recorded?

  • @2much4mymirror It was around 1965. Their tour of ireland featured on 'charlie is my darling' I love this interview... it's Brian at his happiest, healthiest and best state :) I to this day have not found a interview past 1966 with Brian which would be interesting but upsetting because that's really when he became screwed up :( This interview is the best way to remember Brian; talented, so intelligent and so so beautiful.

  • What a voice! He would've been great singer IMO. Brian Jones will always be my favorite Rolling Stone. Though I like Mick Jagger plenty too! Wrt the video, honestly, I see Brian's beginning of the end 'cos he looks unhealthy and a bit weird during the interview specially when he pauses and gives that odd stare in camera.

  • he was a musical genius

  • @MrNINTENDOJOE He was a physically abusive drug addict and a great musician, but no genius I'm afraid.
