Was it just me, or is the presidents shuttle coming into the port landing bay the wrong way? ie: the forward section. Landings are made using the opening at the front

they enter through both directions. given that there was a baseship on there ass, I doubt very much they would have gone through the trouble of going around the flight pod. They just wanted to get the frak outta there.

Battlestars like the type Galactica is, have ships enter from the rear of the Flight pods. Mercury class ships like Peggy was, can have ships enter both ways. At no time has galactica had ships enter from the forward section.

In emergency cases they do. Watch the episode 'Epiphanies' and you will see that Starbuck and Kat both approach the port flight pod from the front. The pod is open-ended anyway, it wouldn't matter which side you entered from, you would still end up in the same place.

Granted in that case they would - But normal BSG75 landing regs require all ships to land by landing aft.

And speaking of emergency cases: In the mini series all vipers land via the aft enterance, if they had been under a time constrant, surely they would have landed using both openings. but they didnt so there!

ok, you just contradicted yourself, because you just said in your first message that they NEVER land from the front of the flight pod

and I'm pretty sure that was to make the movie more time efficient. If they had vipers coming in from every which way, it would take more screen time. So they have them land in an orderly fashion.

look, I didn't say they don't normally approach from aft, it's true that they do, but it's been proven on screen that they can approach from either direction.

simple put if u had vipers enter both sides of the pod at the same time there would be crashes so they would all come the same way

Yes, I understand. But you're stating the obvious. If you read my comment, you would see that I emphasized 'In emergency situations'. If a viper is damaged or under fire and is closer to the forward section of the pod, then it would make an approach from that end.

Also, I hope this episode is good in the non-action parts as well because it looks to be written by Michael Angeli who is seriously the worst writer in the world and his episodes are always sub-par to the extreme. Hope Ron Moore kept his ass in check!
