  • 2:08 lolololol genius

  • How's it hanging, boner?

  • @barsense is it true that you right wingers get 99 cents a post? If so that's pretty low to sell out your country just to put a little money in your pocket.

  • commercials?

    Seriously?

  • Kudo's as usual, mom asked me not to send any more of these to her as it hurts her feelings, I have relented and they no longer go her way. They go everywhere else I can send them though.

  • Great video, as usual!

But you sir or madam, are criminally undersubscribed. This would make for a Boehner.

  • You do know that in the last 18 or so months the Senate / and House had 3 times the chance to up the debt ceiling but decided to play politics with it. they waited to see if they would still have majority control. It turns out they started to lose seats to the tea party. Now they blame the TP for all there problems, if they just did it when they had control it wouldn't be a "Crisis". Oh and someone please do something about Al Gore, hes ranting again...

  • @BigDirtyBasterd Republicans raised the debt ceiling during Bush term when they had the majority but they NEVER ONCE did it early before it was time to do it so why should the dems ? Why do people always have double standards and expect something from one party that they would not expect from their own ?

  • @barsense "Why do people always have double standards and expect something from one party that they would not expect from their own ?"

I think the point was more that we should criticize both parties heartily for doing it. It's not that when the Republicans play politics with the country it's okay, and when the Democrats do it that it suddenly becomes bad. It's that both parties should stop playing with something that shouldn't be played with. There's probably a joke somewhere in there...

  • @Cyrathil You missed the point I think, the republicans never raised the debt ceiling early and there has never before been a problem even when debt was a much larger share of GDP than it is now, so why all of a sudden are people expecting something different. spending was set a 1.416 trillion deficit before Obama was elected which was Bush's last budget and Obama and the dems reduced that to 1.29 trillion. We still have a 2000 revenue level always before 2000 revenue increased yrly

  • @barsense I can't speak for others, but that is still a problem. I understand the double standard (I certainly don't remember this much outrage during the Bush presidency, even though I was in Middle School when Bush first took office, and I didn't pay attention as much as I probably should have), but I stand by my statement. Both parties doing it are wrong for doing it.

  • @Cyrathil I can't see it that way, the democrats bent over backwards to compromise , what they asked was reasonable. the republicans refused to budge. I blame the republicans for not being willing to compromise which is why we have a 2 party system and keeps us from being ruled by tyranny of just a one party system.

  • @barsense " the republicans refused to budge. "

I definitely agree with you on that. The Republicans and the Tea Party practically ran on the basis that they weren't going to compromise (I think Boehner himself said he was not willing to), and a definite part of the reason that people took this so strongly is that you had one side refusing to do anything. I still don't think the Democrats are innocent, and I doubt this whole affair wasn't foreseeable, or at least it isn't surprising.

  • @Cyrathil We still have a 2000 revenue level in a 2011 economy and population so a revenue increase is certainly a reasonable request. top income has gained 139% paying less taxes since Bush tax cuts than ever before in histroy while all other income have remained stagnant for 12 years now so making a moderate adjustment closing some of the top income tax loopholes instead of forcing all other incomes to make all the sacrifices would be the right thing to do.

  • @Cyrathil The republicans want to stop everything at the federal level and transfer everything to the states and already states across this country are hiking fees, fines, introducing more license requiremens etc . people just don't realize the republican proposals will cost them a whole lot more it will just be state taxes and state backdoor taxes instead of federal income tax. And these hikes at state level a lot are on biz which will result in prices hikes and inflation.

  • @barsense We're not disagreeing on any of that. Ultimately I lay blame at the Republicans and the Tea Party. I just think that since the Republicans had been fairly up front about not wanting to work with the Democrats, that waiting until the last second was risky and shouldn't have been done either, because the fact that the debt limit would be reached couldn't have been that big a surprise and since you're working with people who have promised to not cooperate, last-minute isn't a good time.

  • @Cyrathil But the did not wait until the last second, the dems started the process at the appopriate time as has always been done in the past but the repubs delayed and refused to compromise again and again. Budget issues are one thing due to new rules passed during Bush's term that can have some unwanted consequences passed by just one party. Congress passed those rules to stop one party from being able to pass a budget or raise the debt without compromising.

  • @barsense "the dems started the process at the appopriate time as has always been done in the past but the repubs delayed and refused to compromise again and again"

That's my point, they didn't necessarily start at the right time. The opposition were vocal that they were not going to cooperate, and so it is a bit naive (perhaps giving the Republicans too much credit) to figure everything will go as it usually does, especially since everyone put such huge importance to it when the time came.

  • @Cyrathil Perhaps. guess I am just the kind that likes to blame the person holding up the process instead of blaming those trying to do the right thing and expecting them to anticipate every move of the other.

Good thing I am not a military commander . LOL

  • @barsense your missing the whole point that the dems had 3 times on there own to raise it for them selfs. the passed the buck 3 times. there is no double standard, just dems that wanna play politics. and lose, then blame the GOP for shit they could of done.

  • @BigDirtyBasterd NO, lol, I am no but you ARE, DID NOT NEED TO BE RAISED THEN, congress has not raised early before so why would you expect them to now ? And the GOP need to be blamed they dug their heels in and have refused to compromise since day one. We have 2 parties so that there is compromise and that things do not go all ONE way but the repubs refuse to do their job properrly and compromise they just want it all thier way like tyrants not like a democracy..

  • @barsense I see, your just one of those brain dead Democrats. Tyrants, No Compromise, All there way... Oh you must be talking about Obmamacare, Libya, & Shovel Ready Projects, just to name a few Major Failings of the 111th. The 112th are acculay trying to stop us from defaulting on our debts, thats what they promised, and my god thats what there sticking to.

  • @BigDirtyBasterd LOL. I don't really care about party and all those games. I just don't like what the repubs have been proposing or all the LIES they have been telling. DEMS incorporated 160 republican proposal in the heatlhcare refom, stimilus saved my biz and just about every biz in this country experienced increased sells due to stimilus projects in one way or another as offshoots are directly. States repubs said they had shovel ready projects on TV over and over again so who LIED ?

  • @BigDirtyBasterd And if the 112th were as you say they would not have voted for a proposal that reduces revenue more than it cuts spending to create even more debt in the future and leaves hurts our current working people as seniors in the future by reducing their benefits so drastically that they have been working and paying for. They would have agreed to a reasonable tax increase on those with income over 1 million and spread out the pain among all incomes instead of hitting lessor only

  • @BigDirtyBasterd BTW, the senate passed not one but 2 straight forward bills to deny congress and the pres an pay in the event of a gov shutdown of any kind and no retroactive pay either and it was the Tea party crowd in the house that vetoed both bills. They don't care if they cause a shutdown to get their way but they want their pay even if no one else get paid including our soldiers. I did not like that either along with a lot of other things. I will list them tomorrow goodnight.
