  • LOVE IT! Hope ESC is in sweden 2013

    Jag är från sverige

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!

(speciellt för att det e i sverige :))

  • Aw, Lundin :D Han är så söt xD

  • Genius intro, untill she says "hello europe" the audience is quitte - amazing effect. And that was 11 years ago. I am from germany but SVT sweden is so amazing good at making big tv shows- better than our "Das Erste" (ARD) ...

  • @TheGenerationFilms. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. SVT better than ARD?! SVT is C R A P. Even when you watch the news or the weather, you get sleepy.

  • Awesome humour :D

  • that was in Swahili, just in case! HAHAHAHAHA!

  • Its been 11 years sweden. Take that shit back to where it belongs! Freaking sweden! xD

  • @Ixidor13 we all know Ireland is the home of Eurovision ;)

  • for me 2000 and 2006 are the best eurovisions ever!!

  • Had to be awsome just beeing there.

  • This is the second best ESC intro EVER!!! But Norways was better! In graphics... and music ;)

  • @Zoomo928 Well, Norway was 2010, Sweden 2000.. a lot of things, both in graphics and music happens in 10 years ;)

  • @nilgor70 maybe in 2020 finland will win ESC

  • Indledningen er for fed! Elsker musikken! Love the music!

  • I've just realised theyre mixing up loads of languages in one sentence - smart :)

  • does anyone knows the name of the openning credits music?

    thx

  • Omg it's so awesome to see things in this opening sequence that I've actually seen this holiday in Sweden! :D

    I LOVE Sweden :D

  • I'm very proud to be Swedish when I see this, one of the best Eurovision openings ever.

  • I love it. Best ESC opening ever!

  • Never saw that entry because Portugal didn't participate. The moment at 2:07 is unbelievable!

  • That was in Swahili, just in case! HAHA!

  • That was in Swahili, just in case! HAHA!

  • @ 2:50 the upside down reading.

  • Wow, this is the best opening ever =)) gives me goose-bumps every time...

  • wow this is great! But still the best ever for me was Serbia 2008 ESC.

How many people were in that arena?

  • @nekserbia greatness is not measured in the size of arena or people attending but in creativity and content.

  • @dealerovski82

I just asked how many people were in that arena, couse i am curious.

I am not impressed with the number of people...but the hosts were original..

  • @nekserbia 12-15 000 ppl, I wasent there so it really doesent matter.

  • @nekserbia 13,000 i think

  • my name is Rebecca Ahlström;)

    (kattis ahlström)

    /sweden

  • waww best opening ever ;)

  • Eurovision in Sweden is always possible they wins always one time in 15 years. And it was a very innovating evening. I hope also that come a eurovision fast in the future in the Netherlands, Amsterdam that wil be great! I think that they can organise a eurovision really good! the last time they won was in 1975! And is always underrated. Russia was also good it was a nice stage. I am really curious how Norway wil do the show!

  • the best ever

  • awesome presenters, awesome script!!!

  • If sweden wins this year i promise they will do it even better than this,, so vote for SWEDEN !!!!

  • Haha so true, this was pretty lame in my opinion... but it's okay, it was 10 years ago... it would be so huge if Sweden won this year... like Russia but more creative and relaxed ;P

  • I think this is the best Eurovision Songcontest so far!

  • The best opening to Eurovision ever, very simple but it's one I always remember

  • "may the best song win

    let the show begin!"

  • we need this opening again, that's why Sweden should win soon! :D

  • Best opening and best presenters ever. Very well done Sweden, I don't see how you can improve the opening nor her French at the voting procedure, which unfortunately is very rare at the Eurovision Song Contest today.

  • That's how you open

  • The swahili frase means "Excuse me, could I order a table for three?"

  • Hahahaha - still very funny

  • they left out Irish :(

  • WOW! What an opening! LUV IT! 5*s

  • I love how she says all of a sudden: "Men rätt låt vann" which means, the right song won" in swedish, to what probably was a very swedish audience.

  • After Kattis mentions the 100 million people watching, what does Anders says after he says "shut up"

it sounds like "decoiled" - is it a Swedish word? If so, what does it mean?

  • he says "det går ju inte", which means something like "that's impossible"

  • He says ''tjäna'' it means see ya.

  • He says:

"Tjena! ... Amen det går ju inte."

See ya! ... Seriously, this won't work. (I can't do this.)

  • He said 'Tjena', which in this case can be translated to 'yeah right'.

Though, it can also mean 'hi'!

  • Can you sell me this contest on DVD?

  • They're a GREAT nation! I would be VERY proud to be Swedish.

  • what a super professional contest and opening scene!!! i miss it!!

  • b r a jämför med årets ryssar tex, bara pinsamt

  • 6:16 is when they speak Swedish

  • there were more swedish then that.

  • This is the best one yet!!!!!!!

  • The woman reading the names of all the participating countries in the beginning is actually Johanna Hermann Lundberg. You can also hear her voice when you call "Fröken Ur" 90 510, the speaking clock service in Sweden, as well as many other telephone services and automated switchboards, etc. She has a very pleasant and soothing voice.

  • do you mean Johanna that represented Iceland at eurovision 2009 really cool

  • Haha, no, no, for God's sake! Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir was like ten years old at the time for this contest. Johanna Hermann Lundberg is the voice of the speaking clock here in Sweden. So that was just a little piece of trivia. :)

  • So simple... and jet so good!!

  • det är så det ska vara

  • Hmmm..... The Music is good,

    The mistery is good,

    but......

  • But...?

  • this beyond the time and this is unbelieveable. i am stil watching again n again. greetings from istanbul.

  • Does somebody know something about music that sounds? I want to have it...

  • tricker2127: The music is by Swedish artist Nåid (Martin Landqvist). He used the same score for the song "Better Day". You can find it on Spotify, for example.

  • Thanks ) Tryed to find somewhere in web to download "Better day".. didnt find. Pity. Don't you have it by the way?

  • Omg Sweden hehe

  • haha! the woman was reading it upside down! LMAO!

  • i know, but i loved the joke, the face she pulls at the start saying "what the hell?" is priceless

  • 5:54 - 6:00: "La Pelta ko puta messa jaw whato wah tato!" Excuse me?.. That was Swahili, just in case!

    So funny! :-)

  • So good in the end the real Europanto presentation using all the languages of Europe and more... :) Brilliant and unique.

  • Great welcoming sequence w, no doubt. But who's brilliant idea was it to have the Swedish flags which many of the audience are waving (duh) one-sided? It looks more like a sea of white than a sea of blue and yellow.

  • I don't think those are Swedish flags, I think the white your seing is Cyprus flags.

  • If you look closely, you'll see that there are a lot of 'white' dots in the flag-waving audience - WAY too many to be all-Cypriot. Most of the Swedish flags there are apparently one-sided, because the other side has 'Eurovision Song Contest Stockholm 2000' on the other. The big ones aren't like that, though, thank goodness.

  • Best ESC ever!!!

  • Yes, my favourite eurovision as well!
