This Christmas on display was a brainchild of Alex Rosario, owner of C.O.D., together with Berting Aguirre and Vivencio Dioneda. They hired a special technical crew and players to operate the moving mannequins and present a story related to Filipino Christmas.
Manila C.O.D. now known as the Rosario Animated Display continues the magic it has weaved over the years for future generations.
i was a little girl back then, theres no mrt yet only this blue love buses strolling around edsa and all my family will bravely go there from pasay city just to watch the show in cod!wow those were the days....
Sorry for the typos, hehe. :P I simply can't hide my excitement over this which is why I fumble with my typing. Next Christmas I'll be visiting Greenhills for this. ;D
My most memorable COD show called "Christmas Galactica". That was way back in the late 70s (or early/mid 80s?), I think. They used a replica orbiter capsule and lunar lander for that show. The 3 Wise Men were lowered from the lander (or orbiter) to visit the Holy Family. When I was a kid I thought there's nothing more cooler than that and it was a the most fun I have when. Cubao was a wonderland back then.
Wow, I was a little boy then and use to watch it in cubao. Hope that they continue the tradition. It is part of Philippine Christmas. . will watch it again when I return home.
call of duty? lol.
