Thats so cute...i'll look in the mirror and what will i see? a handsome monster..Oh! thats me!..lol and it was funny how he looks back at the end..lol CUTE!
Most definitely Jeff Moss. I knew him personally. Spent many evenings as a little girl listening to him play the piano and sing this song among others he wrote.
I was never really afraid of the barber. Probabley cause my mom cut my hair mostly. I hated haircuts but not for the typical reasons I hear other kids hate them. Me, I didn't like having to sit still with nothing to do for such a long period of time. So I liked getting my haircut at the barber cause they tend to be faster.
Wow! I never thought I would ever see this one again. It's one of the few times Cookie Monster didn't mention cookies or eating. They could still use this on the show today if they wanted to.
There was another skit that Cookie Monster was in with the Two-Headed Monsters where Cookie Monster didn't mention cookies or eating. That skit he was in was where he stopped an argument with the Two-Headed Monsters that were trying to decide where to go for vacation.
Remember this one quite well too- great song from Cookie Monster reassuring kids about getting a haircut. It probably pacified my nerves when I was a bit younger once a while back ;-)
Actually, Jeff Moss also voiced one of the Alphabeats from the band "Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats." (The lavendar Alphabeat was the one Jeff Moss voiced).
Yes, I'm sure Grover would make Jeffy more afraid to get a a haircut. I wonder maybe if Count Von Count would also help Jeffy not feel afraid by telling Jeffy to just count up to a certain number where counting will also help to take away his fear. (I know that counting also helps people feel much better whenever they're sad, mad, afraid, etc. Also, counting can also help people whenever they're having trouble sleeping).
No, DiAnno13. Jeffy's never had a haircut and he's a little scared, but Cookie Monster tells him it's nothing to be afraid of, cause when it's done, you'll look handsome. Very great song. It always makes me feel good and warm-hearted inside.
aww! the cookie monster is my idol! he rules!

You know, I never thought about this up until now, but I suddenly realize that Jeffy looks a lot like Joe Raposo's son Nick.

This lavender AM school boy Jeffy has appeared on Sesame Street in 1981.

How sure are we that Jeff Moss is voicing Jeffy here? Are people going simply by the name? Because it doesn't sound much like Moss to me.

Is that a fact? Cool. Alright, I'm convinced. I'm just used to a much lower voice from him.
Garrettk41 4 years ago
That's definitely Jeff with Frank Oz - When Jessie was a little girl, I was married to him.

I thought the kid's name was Jeppy, not Jeffy.
Thanks for posting this! Brings back such memories.

You know, the way the puppet for Jeffy was designed was probably what Jeff Moss looked like as a kid.

You didn't know Jeff Moss also did the voice of Big Jeffy from Little Jerry and The Monotones?
KingSlifer 5 years ago
No, but that was likely before my time.

Wow-Cookie Monster is very reassuring-much better than Super Grover.

Yeah. Grover would have done nothing but make Jeffy even more afraid to get his haircut, as is indicated in one of his Super clips.
