AWESOME VIDEO! It really elucidates all of the facinating facets of ametuear radio! This is an exceptionally excelent "recruiting video" . By the way, what is the name of the song that you used? This really hyped me up for Field Day 2010!

Thats a great mix of all kinds what you can do in amateur radio!! i´m a ham since 10 years...and i´ll be it my lifetime!!! Thanks for that nice video!!
Think Boy Scouts; They're not on the 911 operator's list, not first responders but they do train for Search and Rescue along with how to camp (not survivalist isolationists because they do that either), find constellations, and other fun stuff - and how many times have you heard of the Scouts making the "find" when folks get lost! Amateur radio is an amazing hobby that can turn on a dime into a vital resource- as long as hams behave in a matter that reflects that possibility. Most I know do!
next time you have severe weather remember there are hams out there putting thier hides on the line to report storm conditions as they happen so you can sleep peacably at night. All the stuff you do with your cell phone, text messaging, sending pics and vids, ... remember ham radio did it first. and we dont have to subscribe to ham radio.
"Hides on the line"? That is not what you are instructed in the SkyWarn classes. Your safety is subject to your own delusions. Nice try!
It is radio, it is digital, so why must we ignore it as hams, IF we did it first?
That's right, I said "we" because I have had 2 licenses for 26 years. A General & a General Radiotelephone...
It is a shame that attitudes like yours are the norm in ham radio today. KA9Q invented TCP/IP & influenced Packet Radio. We are still on AX.25 that is 20 years old...
Huzzah! Seriously, more people should take up Ham Radio; imagine how much peoples' annual expenses would drop if they communicated by radio instead of mobile phone!
Excellent job. Wish I could download it to keep at the FD site. We'll be out there at KA9R in IL. Running 24 hour solar...and firing up this video occasionally!
I like to feel sexy....knowing someone is watching me ..wanting me...turns me on!BADLY! I like to flirt and pose..and sometimes i like to get WILD! how? ..he he..come in video and youll see:)) maybe u can teach me something..or maybe i will ! come visit me at ... Very nice! I found out about it in an ARRL contest news letter. They like it and included a link to it as well as ask it be forwarded to family and friends. They also ask if anyone knows who made it. Great job.
Great job on the infomercial... this kind of look at the technology involved in today's Amateur Radio operations is what will rekindle interest in the hobby and allow it to grow!
