  • Wow dude that is sick! Where did you learn to sweep like that?

  • Most causal face expression possible. If i turned the sound off it looks like you were playing smoke on the water.

  • sounds like scales......

  • muchA DISTORSION LE PONES CAUSA MUCHA TIERRA SE ESCUCHA QUITALE EL EFECTO Y HASLOMAS LIMPIO

  • You ripped it good.

  • Steve Vai's Guitar dude nice!

  • is that a JEM/UV with signature from steve vai? :P

Damn you must have ALOT of money to buy that one XD

    Cheers

  • you remind me of the professor in south park or his assistant

  • does this mean he's better than vai now? dang. poor ol' stevie can't buy a break.

  • prodria hacerme el favor de darme la tablatura esque ese solo me encanta se lo agradeceria

  • buzz lightyear

    :D

  • ironic that he does this on steve vai's guitar look alike.

  • Playing with feel is very important and you did! Well done

  • пазер

  • dude you should turn down the distortion and up the reverb cuz it sounds like uber shit

  • I suggest finding a way to cut back on unnecessary noise -via compressor or better choice of effects/preferences. But well done mate!!

  • haha I have a 4 months and I can do that without problems: p

  • I LOVE YOU D:

  • dude you are totally badass!!!!!!!! rock on

  • Metronome!

  • instead of puting gay faces u should do it all without pauses

  • CHECK OUT MINE. =)

(it's the first 6 scales on acoustic)

  • why everyone hides behind distorsion to play this solo??? ¬¬

  • @2Funky4me Distortion is beatiful. it sounds good. your just soft. id rather listen to a rockin guitar solo then a violin playin the same thing.

  • @chevalier577

hahhaa good one, dude...you're funny xD

i think a little crunch is more than enough for this

  • no way you can diss that, none of yuz can play it. great music n sweet performance......kudos....

  • Just like the film well done (lose the chin strap though m8)

  • best cover ive seen so far and thats like steves guitar

  • bit sloppy and out of time but good effort

  • it's good no doubt about it, but im pretty sure if you were dueling with the devil, the devil would have your soul

That's great. I don't get the 150+ "dislikes" that this video has received. You're a fluent, talented guitarist and you're putting this out there for free. I've played for more than two decades with a guitarist named Mr. Satan (Sterling Magee)--a brilliant and original player. If you played this piece for him, just as in this video, he'd chuckle and say, "That man can PLAY some guitar, mister!" Great tone for this sort of thing, too. You get an A in my book.

  • @KudzuRunner 150+ dislikes reflect that there is no soul in that music,

fast yes! difficult yes! pointless also yes

  • @kr0k0deilos: You're right and wrong. I don't hear much soul in the music, but I've just read through two years' worth of responses, and the 150+ dislikes mostly aren't about that. They're about people saying he looks gay, people criticizing his facial movements, people saying he uses too much sustain. Let's be honest: teenaged guitar-boys are, for the most part, impossibly catty. This is a solid, if uninspired cover of a challenging piece. He's not Steve Vai. He's not pretending to be.

  • man very cool i think you play our learned it by your ear

  • yikes, a little slow and sloppy, but not bad. :)

  • awesome!

  • that was nice man!and whats up with that (fake jem) i didnt no they made one and iv damn sure never saw one where did you get it?

  • patetic

  • you look like robert trujillo

  • Apart from your sharp tone (pull the mic thingy thing to the middle, please) this was very good!! I am trying to learn this right now. I never played this kind of stuff so I think it will take some time. Do you have any advice you could give me, or is it just 'start shredding'? (i got the tab)

  • GREAT

  • lol he looks like DK KONG, and he is really good.....

  • nice guitar

  • nice man!

  • Your action must be so mother ******* low to play that easily. Or your fingers are made of some sort of metal. Either way it sounded great and nice ToL inlays!

  • @MrKleenexDude I wish it was mate.. this guitar is a load of crap. Its a fake Jem. Doesnt play very well at all... This waas the only day it was half decent, not good. Its onthe wall now cos its Pritty. ;) not good for anything else. Thanks for watching!

  • @beavisthelizard Gotta beware the chibanez.

  • @beavisthelizard Did it not get setup properly? It looks like it'd sound and play great.

  • @beavisthelizard ill gladly take it off your hands... ill give u a shinny nickel...

  • @MrKleenexDude is that how you get your punchy neck pickup sound?

  • you misssed the last AND BEST NOTE!! FAIL... just kiddin man good job!

  • Awesome.

  • awesome

  • very nice

but i think you could've sounded alot nicer, were you using a real guitar, not an ibanez ;)

  • @Kej1m Ibanezes are awesome Idk what your talkin about. All of my favourite guitarists use them

  • suck my blumers XD

    very good :P

  • = Torn contract right there

  • Good work! I got a question. Is the first part played on palm mutting?

  • If you want to learn to play this solo visit my channel. I have posted 11 videos detailing note for not how to play the solo from the movie. I hold nothing back and everything is played very slowly. I give you the notes, string, finger and fret positions and explain a little about the theory behind the arpeggios. Enjoy...Dave. :)

  • nice rep guitar

  • Do you know where I can find the tabs for that?

  • like original better

  • how the hell did he do that

  • @darkarura1776 Who? me? Thanks for watching either way ;)

  • whaouw *_*

  • kicked its ass man....

  • hahahahaha @ the blues ending! Well fucking done man ^^

  • You start minor and end on mayor?

  • @112358miau He switches between major, minor, and diminished scales and arpeggios throughout the entire piece.

  • @Fendershred50 Isn't the whole song on A minor? He starts with a minor arpeggio and ends with a major, that's not like original song

  • @112358miau The whole thing is in A, but at some points it is in the A Minor scale, some points are A Major, and some are A Diminished 7ths

  • what guitar is that?

  • @callumchandler Ibanez Jem 7vwh i think

  • hey lol

just recognised you you play in volume and sometimes for this River , i work in coyote , nice man!

  • Nice job. I've seen lots of people play this, and it is interesting how each person has their own twist. Excellent.

  • omg, niceeeeeeee dude

  • cool ending!

  • aewsome dude nice playing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!(y)

  • guitar in a pretty penny

  • cool buddy ...

  • (Yeah it's called Eugenes trick bag). Keep working on it. Practice it clean (no gain, no FX, bridge pup) and slowly to build speed and accuracy and feel until it's unconcious. I did that as a kid back in the day it was new in what '86 on VHS? lol Yeah I'm an old axe man. I still use this as a warm up b4 a show to this day. Good memories from that movie. 8) Oh and stop posing 4 the camera. lmfao Focus,...

  • Kick ass cover. Keep rockin'

  • eugenes trick bag is the name

  • Keep trying

  • who dont like it can go fuck there self, because its technicaly hard... i learnd it about 2 mounth, and i take mistakes too! so take your* thumbs up!*!

  • buy a metronome

  • @LAKOM80 yeah the timing is so bad in this

  • sloppy

  • what is the name of the song?

  • @abenederse it's actually a solo from a movie called "Crossroads". Check it out. Steeve Vai did all the solos.

  • @Metaldiabolic Steve Vai played the parts his character performs in the duel but Ralph Machios Parts were actually played by Ry Cooder.

  • @abenederse Eugene's trick bag.

  • nice steve vai signature guitar :D

  • this song aa te name for sownload

  • ok this is awesome but a lot of people play this...what is the part that vai plays in the duel called?

  • u rock i love you but to much delay

  • Brilliant mate.

    J.

  • Absolutely awesome...thumbs-up! One of the "best" endings to any movie. Rock on!

  • You did quite a few parts differently, but it still sounded very good, good job man!

Its hard to get it note for note when there are no (or hardly any, if any) decent lessons on how to play it. I found 1 so far but the guy goes 'a little' too fast to make the learning easy. Guess I will be rewinding his video 5,000 times and maybe in a year I will play it ok and post a vid on here, haha!

  • @skinnybuddhaboy dude there's something called tabs, no tabs needed

  • nice playin what kind of efx do u use or what are the settings of that reverb.

  • dude that guitar is sexy

  • tabs pppppllllleeeeaaaasssseeeee

  • it's funny to consider that in the film, the kid wins by playing on a telecaster. but he isn't actually playing the song. and the song probably wasn't recorded with a telecaster...

my bet is vai recorded his part and the kid's part with his jem guitar.

great playing, the jem is the only ibanez i would buy.

  • @MrIcefromheaven steve vai and a guy named Ry Cooter did all the guitar work for the dual. Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid) was just a finger puppet. Steve did his stuff and the final thing that Ralph played and Ry did all the slide stuff.

  • @beyondthehills ry cooter did not do this though vai did. vai did all the classical bits but ry did all the stuff with the slide

  • @MrIcefromheaven actually vai did the winning piece himself so technically vai won and vai didnt have jem back then

  • omg i so badly want ur guitar =)

  • your reallly really good,

    rock on!

  • you look like chris broderick

    amazing song dude¡¡¡

  • Very fucking good!

  • Try playing with no pick like the karate kid in the film!! (even tough he didnt play it!!)

just kidding dude! That was AMAZING!!

  • uy man mis respetos!!!!!

  • maniac^^

  • very nice how you solved it whit the high notes!!!

    thanks!

  • I can't believe people are bad mouthing this...dude- amazing, are there tabs anywhere for this???

  • 911tabs bro.

  • the best cover of crossroads i have seen so far

  • Woaw, quand meme ! :D 5/5

  • No doubt you can play but theres no feeling there sorry lol

  • I hate those guitars with the handle in them, they should be taken out back and shot

  • @thenigels Dude, that "guitar with the handle" is the Ibanez Jem! Lack of respect for THAT instrument proves you to be a fucking poser!

  • @EvelTwinOfSlogmaster he said it was a "fake jem".."just read above"...i dont know iv never seen a fake one but its his shit so i guess he would know what it is!

  • Out of the beat, man !

  • a little less gain but hey great skillllsss!!

  • @gencarelle123456 YOU SUCK! do you can play like this??? man man....yust childish

  • @gencarelle123456 at least he doesnt play on guitar hero like you...lol

  • Won't you people ever ditch the damn overdrive for once -_-

  • haha godlike! :)

  • NICE !!!

  • Not bad at all 0.o

  • YEAH NICEEEEEE ! You know where I can find the tab please !!

And You're a really really good guitarist ;)

  • u would have beaten karate kid XD

  • fucking awesome !!!! well done m8

  • yeeaahh!

  • is hard mode!! XD (Y)

  • I'm afraid that self celebration is central for you. If you could channel that energy into the beauty of music; a contribution could be made. This is not the WWE dude, come on. Oh, too much gain, sounds like tin can being kicked down the road.

  • dude you got your shit down... only problem.... play with more passion!

  • man ive been working on this for a few weeks now, and the arpeggios have been kicking my ass but i got them down now. the only part you messed up on is the part right before 30 seconds. good job though man. impressive

  • Smug twat

  • :O that was epic

  • Niiiccceeee......

  • badass!!

    where'd u learn it??

  • your a beast man i dig the steve vai bad horsie and the shirt lol the sound is like perfect very great

  • stop doing these facial expresions men, i couldn't enjoy the video

  • im learnig it

  • holy crap, i´m trying to play it but fpr me it´s hard to learn all these licks-.-

  • Omfg i love the facial expressions

  • awesome effort. U can certainly play way better than i can. Good work

  • I think the same thing.

  • Gratz man, this piece seems very difficult (it surely must be)!

I love the whole piece, metal neoclasic rules! =)

One question man, could you tell me the name of this fantastic song by paganini?

    Thanks and keep rockin'!

  • Is this Mozart or Bach? What is the song name? Thanks

  • paganini caprice Nº 5

  • I give u props pretty good but Karate Kid would kick ur ass!!!!!!

  • alguien save como se llama esa cansion

  • capricho Nº5 de paganini (:

  • el de karate kid lo hace mejor jajaj

  • learn to play it before recording

  • Did you use guitar pro for that?

  • he is playing it alone, so it certainly is a solo, not an improvisation thou

  • que dijieron estos giles?

  • finger sweeping is for advanced guitarists

  • not bad. do u shape ur own eye brows? hehe

  • lol

  • from 1:00 ur head looks like a toy !!!! UHAUHAUHAUHAUHAUHAUAHHA

  • Wonderful.....

I want to play to this form..

How long have you played guitar???

  • I don't get it.... why is he covering the part of Steve Vai when he loses the duel lmao.. well it sure sounds like it if not.
