I never saw the clothes-retaining ring on ANY Whirlpool product in my life. I also never knew(why is that?)that the early DD machines spin-drained! It must be senior hours.
@tvtimetravel I believe in 1985 the larger, standard-size machines agitated like this. I do prefer wider-arc sweeps, though. My aunt got a brand -new Whirlpool in 1985 and I recommended it with the new DD.

Very nice Jamie. I like seeing the big BD style auger in a DD washer. Does this machine have a neutral drain?
