Fun bit of trivia: although this theme fits the story in Dragon Quest 8 beautifully, it was not specifically composed for it. Its first appearance is in Dragon Quest 3 when riding Empyrea herself.

Amazingly wonderful in its own awesomeness. Im currently at the part with the Empyrea (Amen) Battle and i agree with sevaryn11, I didnt cry but felt like i wanted to, its like this song is describing pain and torture but also what its like to be able to glide throught the heavens freely
