I've had this record from the beginning, but I never heard the extended jam at the end of this song. It's great, kind of a taste of things to come on the Songwriter album.
As much as I love you, and I do, Jesus loves you so much more. He is God. He is gracious, kind, forgiving, and gives you more love and peace than you could ever imagine. Please ask Him into your heart.

Hey, thanks for sharing this. I have the album on CD but it doesn't have the extended version. In fact, I didn't know there was another version. But with recording, anything is possible.
I bought this album after the Moody's broke up ....I played the hell out of it ...I just Love This. I never thought the Moody Blues would get back together......but they did. I have since seen them in concert.
their music still inspires peace! i love this song! my 10 year old son will hit replay on the cd player in the car! helping to create more fans! peace!
This song almost seems like a calling from their hearts to the people that love their music. I have always loved the Blue Jays album...it's full of insightful and inspiring music...this song is wonderful in many, many ways.
In my opinion, The Moody Blues as an entire group have never come close to matching the gorgeous sound of Justin & John's "Blue Jays" album since it was released in 1975. "Blue Jays" is still my favorite album OF ALL TIME. For Moodies fans, it is a delightful MUST HAVE.
How'd the concert turn out? Saw the Moodys in 1999 in Nampa, Idaho and they were perfect!! Their album, Strange Times had just been released. Greatr guys - I got to meet them!
They started out on the same path, towards the same vision and succeeded; They have a place in so many
hearts This band has tapped into the Pschye of their fans and they have a very, very, very special sound; that no one has ever duplicated ! Yeah! Can't wait to see the O.C.Fair Concert 7/22/09 ! Whooo hoooo =)
I actually bought the cassette in 1976 and I don't remember this extended version. But of course it has been a long time. I still have the vinyl version, and it is definitely shorter.
the blue jays lp has some great tunes & lots of that fuzzy gibson guiter that justin hayward is so famous for. half of the tracks on this lp are as good or better than any moody blues songs
This song is great. I love the long version with the extended solo at the end. The production on this album sucks. The songs are great, but some of them are weighted down with this lush, wimpy, string laden mess. There is a great RNR/folky album underneath all of this. Hopefully someday it will be remixed and freed from the crappy, 70's production of Tony Clarke. Of course this version has never been released by the Moody Blues Team that never searches out raritites.
A fabulous album indeed. Justins guitar work reminds me of george harrison in a way. Both could make the guitar express what their heart was feeling. The orchestra arrangements reminds me of the beatles too. Gives you a warm feeling in this cold world don't you think?
Right on the money boomyboomy-you should check out "one summer dream" by ELO on you tube as well if you liked this. Beatles, ELO, Moody Blues were on the same page without question in their music-
exactly so, add ELP, EWF, Steely Dan, Alan Parsons Project. What on earth caused this stupendous flowering of lyrical and musical creativity of the 70's and early '80's? Clearly isn't happenig in the alleged music of today...
Reminds me of my best friend... one day she came over to my house and I played this song for her. She never really understood how much that song was like our never ending friendship.
I've only heard this song through my Time Traveler CD, unfortunately. Blue Jays is going to be on my Christmas list. XD
A beautiful & haunting tune......good video too with all the rare pics....a song i would personally have played at my passing.....a little morbid, but a fitting tribute to my friendship with my closest friends.......
Berr, I was going to ask you a while ago and forgot. Wanted to know if Bluejays had more than one producer. I thought Tony Clarke and David Foster, but I see it was 10cc. When I heard BTW and IDLN, I knew it had a different sound than the Tony Clarke sound of Blue Guitar (MB's sound)...

berrygirl, again, you're right -- Justin and John are magic. I do have to say that I'm glad they got back together when they did; just think of all the great songs we might not have had, had they not.
I too am waiting for a Blue Jays tour. I've never understood, now that there are only three of them left, why they don't do some songs from "Blue Jays". If we're lucky, Graeme will be the next member to retire, leaving only Justin and John to tour. Hmmmm ....
I could listen to this song over and over and over. These 2 guys are so special and have such a special friendship. This song just haunts me. Gorgeous.
