  • I've had this record from the beginning, but I never heard the extended jam at the end of this song. It's great, kind of a taste of things to come on the Songwriter album.

  • ill never forget ou jusine or john...

  • LOVE THE MOODY BLUES

  • As much as I love you, and I do, Jesus loves you so much more. He is God. He is gracious, kind, forgiving, and gives you more love and peace than you could ever imagine. Please ask Him into your heart.

  • Never had a chance to hear the extended version. Didn't even know the album was on cassette.

  • OMG! I forgot about that ending part! Had this on vynal soon as came out, then had the cassette for the very first "walkman" made by sony. Few yrs back bought this on CD... no jam session..

    Thanks for posting this!

  • You don't need to ask me if I'll be your friend, I am, I am, you don't need to ask me if I'm sure my friend, I am, I am your friend, you must remember me, I'm the one who saw through the world's disguise, took away its cloak and I made it hide, from me Remember me? • Bands broke up in those days and the offshoots still produced great music.

  • Saw them live in Hull.Had to leave half way thru to catch the last train to Pompy.Never been so pissed off in my life.Still, got the album so not all bad.Bleedin navy.Should've gone AWOL.

  • Always thought this to be one of the best albums ever, and when I had a lucky chances to meet John & Justin, I told them so directly. They smirked, like knowing it has always been under rated. But this extended version is a real treat, thanks

  • I have a vinyl copy of this album. One of the best 50p's I spent.

  • @davemetalbutler Me, too! One of the best five dollars i ever spent on an album ..no amount would have been too much i was so ready for its release..

  • @spotbelly My favourite on this album is You Side 1 band 4. I got this album 2nd hand for 49p. mint with the insert, gatefold and all.

  • @berrygirl1964 Haven't seen you around much either I agree with lcr1955 too!

  • @MoodyGirl67 how r u? Haven't seen ya around here in forever

  • Great song, great album

  • Extraordinary find!!!

  • Hey, thanks for sharing this. I have the album on CD but it doesn't have the extended version. In fact, I didn't know there was another version. But with recording, anything is possible.

  • I bought this album after the Moody's broke up ....I played the hell out of it ...I just Love This. I never thought the Moody Blues would get back together......but they did. I have since seen them in concert.

  • Never heard this before sounds fab. Love Justin Haywards voice.

  • Two exquisite men; the image of enduring friendship.

  • Señor Ferrigno

    Remember me, my friend

  • One of my All-Time Favorite Albums. Such tallent. Such Compassion.

  • Yesssssssssssssss, greatest duo and band ever!

  • This is better than the Moody Blues shame they couldn't keep it up.

I love this album and song 10/10Chris Mac UK

  • their music still inspires peace! i love this song! my 10 year old son will hit replay on the cd player in the car! helping to create more fans! peace!

  • Thank you for your comment berrygirl...good to know someone feels the same way I do on this one. God bless!

  • Why can´t I have such a voice? :-) Singstar will be enough for me.

  • This song almost seems like a calling from their hearts to the people that love their music. I have always loved the Blue Jays album...it's full of insightful and inspiring music...this song is wonderful in many, many ways.

    Beautiful video :)

  • In my opinion, The Moody Blues as an entire group have never come close to matching the gorgeous sound of Justin & John's "Blue Jays" album since it was released in 1975. "Blue Jays" is still my favorite album OF ALL TIME. For Moodies fans, it is a delightful MUST HAVE.

  • Wow! The extended version puts the album version to shame!

  • Very nice!

  • Thes guys are Plejaren aliens. They are not from the planet earth.

  • How'd the concert turn out? Saw the Moodys in 1999 in Nampa, Idaho and they were perfect!! Their album, Strange Times had just been released. Greatr guys - I got to meet them!

  • I think we all have been saved by the music of these guys at some point of our lives! Long may they rock!

  • THIS IS DELISH ! !

  • This always reminds me of a crisp fall day with the leaves blowing around in a colorful rage....

  • アップ、ありがとうございます。

I like this music better than The Moody Blues.

I was listening to this music repeatedly as a high school student.

    I appreciate very much.

  • The Moody Blues are true Brothers.

They started out on the same path, towards the same vision and succeeded; They have a place in so many

hearts This band has tapped into the Pschye of their fans and they have a very, very, very special sound; that no one has ever duplicated ! Yeah! Can't wait to see the O.C.Fair Concert 7/22/09 ! Whooo hoooo =)

  • Wish this album would be re-released. As good as any full Moody album and better than most of them.

  • they express friendship perfectly.. thanks

  • I actually bought the cassette in 1976 and I don't remember this extended version. But of course it has been a long time. I still have the vinyl version, and it is definitely shorter.

  • Do you know what a fluffer is? I am sure you do, but its a bit tacky.

  • I first heard this song last friend and fell in love with it instantly...Amazing soft but highly powerful words..Great posting thank you xxx

  • If you like rarities and want to discover more gems like this, check out my new bulletin board--click on "more info" about this video, upper right.

  • the blue jays lp has some great tunes & lots of that fuzzy gibson guiter that justin hayward is so famous for. half of the tracks on this lp are as good or better than any moody blues songs

  • AMAZING. So much talent and such a great song.

  • This song is great. I love the long version with the extended solo at the end. The production on this album sucks. The songs are great, but some of them are weighted down with this lush, wimpy, string laden mess. There is a great RNR/folky album underneath all of this. Hopefully someday it will be remixed and freed from the crappy, 70's production of Tony Clarke. Of course this version has never been released by the Moody Blues Team that never searches out raritites.

  • A fabulous album indeed. Justins guitar work reminds me of george harrison in a way. Both could make the guitar express what their heart was feeling. The orchestra arrangements reminds me of the beatles too. Gives you a warm feeling in this cold world don't you think?

  • Right on the money boomyboomy-you should check out "one summer dream" by ELO on you tube as well if you liked this. Beatles, ELO, Moody Blues were on the same page without question in their music-

  • Great orchestral rock. the best there is.

  • exactly so, add ELP, EWF, Steely Dan, Alan Parsons Project. What on earth caused this stupendous flowering of lyrical and musical creativity of the 70's and early '80's? Clearly isn't happenig in the alleged music of today...

  • From one Alan Parson's fan to another dont forget Barclay James Harvest.

  • @punditpete and Magna Carta, same vane too

  • I love this song :>

Reminds me of my best friend... one day she came over to my house and I played this song for her. She never really understood how much that song was like our never ending friendship.

I've only heard this song through my Time Traveler CD, unfortunately. Blue Jays is going to be on my Christmas list. XD

  • There is not one song on this album that I can find any fault with despite the lack of Mike`s Mellotron.

  • @kn1ghtstemplar This song was written by Hayward about his relationship with Pinder at that time following the split.

  • .....walking on this earth finding you, you.....

  • ....and I would have walked from one end of the earth to the other for you if you had asked me to.

  • A beautiful & haunting tune......good video too with all the rare pics....a song i would personally have played at my passing.....a little morbid, but a fitting tribute to my friendship with my closest friends.......

  • A beautiful friend just sent this to me...describing our friendship.

    I weep.

Thank you...to my friend, Tom, and to you, Taranberk, for posting this.

  • Love the way they blended the two photographs at the beginning of this video. Really nice and am loving these songs.

  • How many "you" can we count?

  • .....you know I will always remember you.

  • ....only God in heaven knows how much I loved you.

  • Why do I think of a crisp fall day when I hear this song?

  • Love that Justin guitar tone, signature!

  • grat pictures, thanks for sharing many of them are so new for me, Justin plays like Santana in the end I wonder why.

  • very nice thanks deb....

  • Hayward and Lodge are magical together!

I will never ever find another friend like you. You were once in a lifetime. I will always remember you.

  • I wish You tube would pair up the comments with the desired party more carefully! What happened, they used to do it right....

  • Goodbye Cowboy. THANK YOU for being my friend. Happy trails to you always. God bless you!

  • I will never forget you. You truly were a friend to me.

  • Truly spiritual and eternal.....

  • ATOM,

Yes, it is!!! Sorry it took me so long to see this but you replied under my old name. Ergo I didn't get notified. How are you? PM me sometime.

  • This is by far my favorite Blue Jay's song...nicely done...

  • Great vid, awesome musicians. keep the faith.

  • the matching t-shirts at 0:16 were just too cute.

  • music to smoke a nice spongey joint by !!

  • what cool hair ;)

Thank you, that was great. Justin and John were just hotness

  • First heard this song on a cool sky blue autumn day, it has always stayed with me when I see that fall is close by.....

  • Wow, I was off on that one Berr...

  • Berr, I was going to ask you a while ago and forgot. Wanted to know if Bluejays had more than one producer. I thought Tony Clarke and David Foster, but I see it was 10cc. When I heard BTW and IDLN, I knew it had a different sound than the Tony Clarke sound of Blue Guitar (MB's sound)...

  • No, unfortunately, I haven't heard of any by name.

  • Hi Berr, I LOVE THIS SONG! and photograph's!! I was just wondering if you's got the video's I sent out last night. It was my first time try to do it. I saw the button that said "share video!!!" TTYL xo

  • Hi Berr... Yep! I'm sure He did...

  • Berr,

Ya know what they say! Nuttier than a fruitcake!!

lol!! That would definitely fit my description to a T!! rofl!!!!! That's me! The NUT!! But hey, ain't it great to be a nut?! XD

  • Berr,

Aw~but I've used several tissues in the past few days for "Boo-Hooing" purposes. lol! (see Richard Norton's youtube account) *wipes tears again*

Luv ya back, my dear friend!

  • Berr,

Right with ya there!! Our stalking, I mean "following" would have probably landed us in the "pokey" several times!! LOL!!!! We would have been lurking, um...waiting for them everywhere they went! lmbo!!!!

  • Taranberk,

I have to agree, I do pick up on a little Santana there! Nice! Very nice!!!

  • Berry,

*sniff* Anytime, my dear friend! Anytime!!!

    Luv ya bunches!!!

    Terr

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Berry... Same here my friend, and to all the nice people I have connected with here. Sometimes someone can just write one or two lines in a post, and you feel the connection. It's great... P.S.- Hi Terr...

  • I'd throw in for that. My Album cover and pics have mall tack holes. From being up on my bedroom wall when was a teeny bopper!!! Thanks beery for hooking me up with this vid.

And aworld of thanks to taranberk for this and the hours of moodies. Love ya all

  • berrygirl,

u r 2 clever. love that; expresses how i c them as well. h&l are a delish duo and fantastic musicians/singers. i can guess who u luv best? JL dz it 4 u, i bet?

  • Blue Jays? You have got to be kidding. I love this site already. Thanks for the great video and the old photos are just amazing. This one is my favorite from the Jays album.

  • I just wish I had a CD! I'm getting nothing from the net without a credit card, and I can never find them in stores anymore

  • This is the absolute best song they ever did together as the Bluejays!

  • Berrygirl,

Isn't most of the Moodies stuff Hayward and Lodge anyway? Think about the stuff that the MB's recorded after the "core 7"

  • OH! My word you've taken me back!I haven't seen some of those images since I was fiteen.....Siiiiiigh!!!Thanks.

  • berrygirl, again, you're right -- Justin and John are magic. I do have to say that I'm glad they got back together when they did; just think of all the great songs we might not have had, had they not.

  • I too am waiting for a Blue Jays tour. I've never understood, now that there are only three of them left, why they don't do some songs from "Blue Jays". If we're lucky, Graeme will be the next member to retire, leaving only Justin and John to tour. Hmmmm ....

  • If you want live concert footage have you purchased "Blues Rock The Anthology" dvd? It has the Supersonic Blue Jays performance of Blue Guitar!

  • Like Iron Butterfly, I waited and waited for another release from the Blue Jays... :( :(

  • Awesome! Two lovely voices and faces!

  • I could listen to this song over and over and over. These 2 guys are so special and have such a special friendship. This song just haunts me. Gorgeous.

  • even though it's only two of the members, it's still Moody Blues music. It has such an excelent and distinct sound, nothing compares

  • That was great! I never heard the full outro! my vinyl doesn't have the full outro...

Oh well, it was great. Thanks!

  • This is one of my top 10 lps of all-time.

  • I thought the slide show was great. Hey, I noticed the "I heard Blue Jays at Carnegie Hall" button. Is it true that the album was played, not performed, but played via recording at Carnegie Hall for its' debut?

  • Yes, it's true. I read an article about it.

  • This is my favorite Bluejays song

  • more blue jays please

  • thank you. i asked about this on another video, and you had already beat me to the punch.

  • WOW! Great version. Great pix of memorabilia, too. Nice job.

  • Just more BEAUTIFUL, GREAT MUSIC! These guys are like magic what they do with their voices and instruments! Wow! What PURE JOY TO LISTEN!!! LOVE these extended versions!!

  • I love Blue Jays I love Blue Jays

  • I am impressed and thankful that my favorites are not forgotten. They are like hidden treasures. Thanks!

  • thanks taran...again!

  • Time capsule is right. Wow!

  • I really love this one with the pictures of the Blue Jays in the video
