yea i hate when folks just use the dam power chords as the call them 5th's is what they are. learn the whole dam chord and just use the 5th's if thats all you need but why half ass the guitar? its to important to half ass. half ass anything but your music its all that matters in the end to me.

Heartbreaker one of my old favs used to do it when we had a singer that could sing mark farner style. you gotta know barr chords. or you dont know much. its easyer to learn songs by ear with barr chords cause you can slide up and down the neck to find the key. it harder with open chords cause you keep changing fingerings. they take work to master but you got to have them. e form and a form you can play allmost anything.
