n as we all know cigaretes r kinda drugs coz of wat thy contain.
so that leaves us with th conclusion that smoking is haram..n yh loads of muslims smok but stil we dnt copy thm,i got 5 uncles who smoke but girl we have our own minds to think with hamdulilah :)
pinkangel, he ( madeenthenmalife ) is right. Smoking is haraam in Islam for the reason he said. Prophet muhammad SAWS asid that when someone dies cause he drinks poison, in the hereafter he will be punished with the same poison meaning he will continue to drink poison and die over and over again, as it is suicide. So are cigarets. You know they harm your body and you get killed by it. When you die of lungcancer cause you smoke, it will count as suicide and you will be punished.
further, the haraam is because your breath will smell bad and you will annoy others due to your smoking, you harm other peoples health. In masjid you are not allowed when you ate onions or garlic and smell bad, same with your stench of cigarets. People are allowed to throw you out of masjid for this.
