my favorite thing about this episode is that it ends the same exact way as the first one.

they zoom out on luke's diner with rory and lorelai both there, eating and talking and just being happy. and luke and lorelai are perfect together and rory needs to go back to jess. i love it and im so sad its over. i have to settle for watching every episode like a million times. i wish there was more. :( but i will always love this show, forrevverr

The show ended because Amy Sherman-Palladino (the creator and head writer) quit suddenly. They decided not to try another season without her, so they had to wrap things up quickly.
