@InspectorAtlas I don't have the authority to tell you wether something is okay or isn't, but if you want to hear my humble opinion: You are having fun and it isn't harming anyone? Heck son, that is more than just okay, that's actually pretty great. I know quite a lot of people who aren't even capable of that. And one more thing, the "bronies" will never chastise you for not liking the show enough. You like ponies? Cool. You don't like ponies? That's cool as well. Just don't be a jerk about it.

On the other hand, have you actually tried to tell those people "I watched an episode, didn't fall in love with it, so please leave me alone"? The vast majority of bronies are reasonable people, and I have been in many conversations where someone said "I don't care about the show and I don't want to be a brony" and all the bronies were totally cool with it.

Therefore I simply don't see any reason why I should listen to 88 minutes of it. You know, it's actually really easy NOT to watch MLP if you don't want to.
