  • Those NOT in the know would say 4 banks of 9

cylinders. Those IN the know would say 4 banks of 7 or 28 cylinders. KOWNT !!

  • used to tailgate at the North end of Addison's runway many a times.Yeehaw

  • Thank you so much for posting this great video of the Commemorative Air Force Goodyear FG-1D Corsair. It is based at Lancaster, Texas. This Corsair has a dedicated website, however under the rules of YouTube I am unable to place the URL here. If you type CAF Corsair into the Google Search Engine, the website will come up at the top of the listings. Thanks again.

  • Supposingly there is one of "Super Corsairs" with R-4360 engine still in airworthy condition, NX5588N. It's a former air racer owned by Bob Odegaard and at some stage it has been on display at Lone Star Museum in Galveston. Sure would not mind hearing that.

  • I would like to see the Corsair type that had the 'corn cob'engine. Those not in the know; the corn cob was the radial that had 4 banks of 9 cylinders total 36 jugs. This engine also powered the B36.
