I think the only reason this record turned out bad is that he didn't have any prior rapping experience. He may have fallen madly in love with hip hop, but he was still a punk rocker by trade. You can't become a concert violinist just by listening to violin music; the only way is through practice, practice, practice. Ditto if you want to be a respected MC. Had he boned up on his skills first, I bet he could have made it.
