If people weren't in such a rush and bothered the listen to the 16 minute version then they'd realize that it's actually quite intricate and complex. They're continuously adding more instruments and more vocal loops to the point where a new one is added almost every measure. But at the same time if you don't want to listen for the subtle changes it can still put you in an emotional limbo...It's genius.

He had a dream foretelling his death and saw his dead body, but his spirit was rising up to heaven above the palm trees with his friend Johnny getting smaller and smaller below. Johnny had kept on questioning his belief that Owen knew of his own death. Johnny constantly said "Remember that?" in the novel and prayed to have his friend back, to hear his VOICE again.
