this was not about steelheart, Its All about the Judas Priest and Rob Halford and the Tim the Ripper Story. just to bad they didnt get Judas Priest music rights for the movie :(
this movie wasnt made about SteelHeart, it was actully a true story about the band Judas Priest, the band kicked Rob Halford out cause he was gay the storys just told from the second singer of judas priest Tim "Ripper" Owens.
@DimebagRandy none of the music was written by zakk wylde. it was played by him but none of it was written. For instance this song is by Steel Heart, Long Live Rock n Roll was written by Ronnie James Dio, Stand Up and Shout is by Sammy Haggar, ect.
im glad pilson,, wylde, and soto are in this band because one jeff pilson did great work with my two favorite bands dokken and the legendary RONNIE JAMES DIO WHO PAST AWAY. and zakk he is just kick ass on guitar great guitarist. and of course jeff scott he with yngwie malmsteen he was just great with them did i mention bonham he i mean good drummer this is a fuckin great line for this band
yo shanus not trying to be a dick but the songs were not only by SteelHeart another band did the song Stand Up and Shout and one other i think not shure but if you dont believe me type in Jeff Scott Soto on the search bar so SteelHeart was not the only band just an FYI. trying to help out but im goin to fav this cause the songs and the movie well all kicked ass!!!! thankx for posing with lyrics
yh i found that out a month ago :P i posted that info in the side bar, i dont have the song on my PC atm, ill download it and upload it sometime in the next day :)
Ive had the Soundtrack since the movie came out, this is my chance to look over the credits. So far no credit was given to any 'real' band for the songs, although it does give credit to Sammy Hagar for writing Stand Up.
It does however list the names of the band members used as 'Steel Dragon".
Dudes... The songs are from an actual band.. called SteelHeart
These songs existed previous to the movie, but in the movie there's the excelling collaboration from Zakk Wylde and all songs remastered and re-recorded... SteelHeart kicks ass but for example in this song, I like the movie version better, with Zakk on guitars!
naaaa dios mio!! no te puedo creer! que hijo de p... por diosss se van al carajo! es una joda y una burla para el glam rock de los 80 viejo, y mas para la musica en general, dejense de joder viejo!!!
uhhm, im led to believe that what happened, was a band was brought together for the film, and the film alone, they handpicked different members of different bands and then brought them together for the film, once the film had been produced, the band "steel dragon" split up and all the musicians went back to their original bands
Zakk Wylde, Jason Bonham, Jeff Pilson, Jeff Scott Soto, Michael Matijevic, Guy Pratt, Brian McLeod, Myles Kennedy, Nick Catanese, And like 4 or 5 other musicians added to the soundtrack.
@365daysgone the songs were recorded by Steelheart - you can also find the original on youtube. A band formed in 1990 and the voice belongs to Michael Matijevic - the lead singer. search on wiki and u'll find all the info.
why is zakk SO-FUCKING-AWESOME???????? \m/
guess i'll go jump off a bridge...x(

I'm pretty sure this movie was based on a Judas Priest story (upon reading other comments from other videos).
