this movie wasnt made about SteelHeart, it was actully a true story about the band Judas Priest, the band kicked Rob Halford out cause he was gay the storys just told from the second singer of judas priest Tim "Ripper" Owens.

@DimebagRandy none of the music was written by zakk wylde. it was played by him but none of it was written. For instance this song is by Steel Heart, Long Live Rock n Roll was written by Ronnie James Dio, Stand Up and Shout is by Sammy Haggar, ect.

im glad pilson,, wylde, and soto are in this band because one jeff pilson did great work with my two favorite bands dokken and the legendary RONNIE JAMES DIO WHO PAST AWAY. and zakk he is just kick ass on guitar great guitarist. and of course jeff scott he with yngwie malmsteen he was just great with them did i mention bonham he i mean good drummer this is a fuckin great line for this band

Ive had the Soundtrack since the movie came out, this is my chance to look over the credits.So far no credit was given to any 'real' band for the songs,although it does give credit to Sammy Hagar for writing Stand Up.

It does however list the names of the band members used as 'Steel Dragon".

Dudes... The songs are from an actual band.. called SteelHeart

These songs existed previous to the movie, but in the movie there's the excelling collaboration from Zakk Wylde and all songs remastered and re-recorded... SteelHeart kicks ass but for example in this song, I like the movie version better, with Zakk on guitars!

uhhm, im led to believe that what happened, was a band was brought together for the film, and the film alone, they handpicked different members of different bands and then brought them together for the film, once the film had been produced, the band "steel dragon" split up and all the musicians went back to their original bands
