@basch2020 It is, but in a very limited way. The media mention it and show footage from China that same way they mention St Patrick's Day or a minor Western holiday.

I cried for two weeks after the tsunami hit in March. Living in Japan this past semester has been bittersweet as I remember what happened on that day. God bless those families and soothe their heartache as they continue to grieve..

@EvilOtakuEmpire We are all fated to die and the dead feel no more pain. The living suffer for years until death ends their pain. I view living with grief like that as being harder than something which WILL happen to us all.
