  • I spent a few memorable days in the park while staying across the street in April. Its amazing to have such a well kept beautiful space in a mostly grey polluted city.

There are even cherry blossom trees given by the Japanese as a sign of peace.

An elderly couple custom made me a souvenir fan with my name and date in hanzi. My profile pic was also taken there.

  • someone was swimming in the video while there was a sign showed "no swimming" ROFL

  • @Louienyc79 In China people can have fun even without paying attention to the rules or regulations as long as they don't try to overthrow the government. while in the states there are so many regulations for doing things on city properties but it is ok to oppose the government, at least theoretically. recently an elderly Chinese immigrant was handcuffed and arrested in a New York park for singing traditional Chinese opera, guess that tells the culture difference.

  • yeah this is my favorite of the Ctrip videos so far ... love the music, the guys writing in water are awesome ... the swimmer is such a badass ... its just the real everyday stuff going on.

  • damn that old man's got sum kick ass hand writing

and i like how ppl are just walking over it

  • @Louienyc79 Glad we could show you another side of the Chinese lifestyle. Hopefully you get to experience it first hand one day!

  • Good clip. I really miss those Chinese breakfast, but I don't like Shanghai...
