i did this and flowered my plant the buds with all the supercroped branches were bigger and denser than the regular buds with regular stems

This works. I did this unintentionally, and had no idea what would happen... A nice knuckle grew, the stem was even stronger, and amazing growth to that node. I would be more gentle while doing it, but this works.

Squeeze harder on it , and bend slower , the point is to break whats inside

I think the last plant was trained by LST techniqe, not supercropping. Not at all because in LST should be ussed some kind of wire or string. I ve never seen LST by tape -.-

using some plastic coated cable around the stalk is better then using duct tape for low stress training. im sure they still get good results but imagine what happens to the leaf when you have to rip the duct tape off.

@62rome He says it in the video briefly, it lets nutrients pass through the scar tissue easier so you get fatter buds because they are able to get food much more efficiently.

Normally, when cropping, you will get bigger buds above a cropping point, compared to a branch you didn't crop :)

Why not just use stakes, or a trellis, which is the BEST way. The more you break/twist/mangle your plants the more problems youll have ESPECIALLY herms, stressing in flower is what causes hermaphrodites, so, if you like seeds supercrop. If you dont, stop stressing your plants and you will be pleasantly surprised.

That's not what you're doing there buddy.

When you damage a shoot you are making the plant redistribute growth hormones to other parts of the plant. The damaged shoot goes into "repair" mode and most (if not all) growth is delayed.

Ok im confused. Some people say the purpose of supercropping is to get more light to the bottom of the plant, while others say it tricks the top into thinking its not a top anymore. Which one is it?

Both explanations you've heard are correct. When you supercrop the main stem, the plant then starts growing the secondary stems faster to make up for the damaged top. That results in a more flat and spread out canopy. A flat canopy means more leaf area exposed to direct sun/lamp light. So yes, supercropping does "trick" the plant into growing multiple mains. And yes, supercropping does expose the plant to more light.

@krypekeeper Instead of using tape on a leaf, which can damage a plant, why don't you use a pipe cleaner? Pipe cleaners are cheap, easy to use and are quite firm so they keep the plant securely in its position and do not do any damage to the plant.

For veg time afterwards its really plant specific. Some are fine for flower just 2-3 days later. Others you may give 1-2 weeks. Depends on goals. As for SC in flower I would only perform SC in the first 14 days of flowering to keep stress levels low later in life.
