  • Cast on in multiples of 10 stitches plus 2 (one stitch for each end of your work). This creates an edge to your work and helps prevent the work from curling.

Begin each and every row with K1, and end each and every row with K1.

Row 2: K1, purl to last stitch and K1.

  • I hope your Granddaughter appreciates your hard work! I have emailed the pattern over to you just now. Let me know how you get on. Thanks for your post

  • Thank you! I just ordered this and plan to make it for my granddaughter before her birthday on 2/12/12! I am excited to see it as it is just what I wanted to make for her.

  • thank you so much that's why my first project was really curling...

  • Thank you for the video. I have posted it on my knitting blog knitwearpatterns for my readers to enjoy

    :-)

  • @KnitwearPatterns I'm pleased you think your blog readers will enjoy it. Thankyou!

  • What knitting pattern are you using you can type that at the beginning of you page, then people would be able to follow you. For example pattern ( knit 2 purl 2, KO, drop stich) so I think this would be better to follow.

  • Lovely model but in the future, I recommend putting Bellas hair up. We would like to see every inch of the capelet. Hard not to show off a beautiful girl!

  • very nice, thank you

  • Thank you soo much! I've been trying to find this pattern for a hat I want to make ^^ Great tutorial! Love it!

    Best thoughts!

  • I love this pattern how can i get it please?

  • wait on the 3rd row do you garter stitch the first and then knit? or when you start do you knit then roll forward? yours really looks beautiful :)

  • @Aurelie1821

You aways knit the first stitch on both right and wrong sides of the work. This is called garter stitch and helps to create a selvedge or edge to the work to prevent it from curling

  • This is a lovely pattern, thank you!

  • Thanks for posting this, it helped me fix a malor problem in my knitting, I had been running out of stitches because I forgot to add extra stitches to be able to work in the lace. :)

  • Hi there, this is very interesting to watch! Would you have this pattern in US version, as well as shown how it's done in Continental knitting? I'm a spinner and I'm spinning several different Alpaca fleeces in lace weight, I want so much to learn lace weight knitting, but I knit continental. Thanks so much for your time and video, fleecy smiles~ Dora ~ USA : )
