well the new Toyotas 2009+ models have been getting larger and heavier over the years. the older ones ~00-02 models were very well balanced in terms of handling and power . 125bhp i think and weighing only 2400lbs in expense of noise. now 132bhp and weighing about 2750lbs. the older corollas used to get 8.4s 0-60 i believe now about 10 seconds.

I usually move my dad's '04 Silverado, so the first time I moved the Corolla in a few months, I also noticed how responsive it was. That is one thing I hated about the trunk and fuel doors on my 1999 Camry V6. Many times, I have popped the trunk inadvertently. I prefer my 2008 Milan V6 overall! @MrMK94 I learnt to drive a manual in a Toyota Corolla and it was a awsome car to learn in because it was so forgiving. If you let the clutch out to quick or didn't put enuf throttle on or something it would either just cope with it or let you get the clutch in again, it would never stall. If you forgot to change down a gear when you should it was amazing how well it would cope with it.
