I switched on the tellie yesterday and watched MTV for about 10 minutes - I nearly cried. Music has gone to the shitter. Damn I used to play this song in my band back in '78!!
75 had just finnished High School in Sth Australia.............the 70's yes the decade fashion forgot but not the music.......Hush bloody fantastic...bring back this music.....
RIP john Koutts ..original drummer of Hush...who passed last week...i only know this because he is a friend of my brothers...so sad i wasnt able to find anything online about his passing...how easily we forget our Australian legends..
My mum used to sing this song in the car. It was only now I came across it on Youtube haha. Didn't realise they were an Aussie band. We had some good music back then, seems it's all shite now though :S
@Konesworth - I was 7 and had been in trouble one day that year for having a discussion in class about this band. Which was better, we were debating: Hush or Sherbet? Skyhooks, of course, were #1...!
Les Gock was a better guitar player than many gave him credit for -- the band was not afraid to play up their Chinese/Anglo mix at a time when multiculturalism was new to Australia.
I notice that parts of their stage act couldn't be played on television!
forgot to mention the chicks doing the sharpie dance on the sidelines .......ah the memories
