You can easily put a hidden desire to the doctor`s facial expression when he says "we are collegues, we arent pursueing a romantic relationship." you can see his deception as clear as day. as if he is forcing himself to cover up those feelings... its what pple say to their friend when they dont want to lose that friendship.
Poor Doc. He deserved her more then anyone, and of course he doesn't get her. Grr. They would have made a lovely couple. I mean really. Chakotay? What the hell was that? How much pot did the writes smoke before that? Whatever. Roar. Anger.
@Oiyuki I agree on the Chakotay thing, he despised 7 right from "scorpion" and even suggested to Janeway that they should terminate or abandon 7 several times. The only logical explanations are severe brain damage on 7's part due to the Queen's EMP attack in "endgame" or a consolation prize to make up for Beltran's dreadful character (or lack thereof) and him getting beaten up in nearly every episode, sort of an apology from the writers.
You watch all these Seven/Doctor episodes and think they have amazing chemistry, and she ends up with CHAKOTAY?! What.The.Fuck. That came out of nowhere.
Seven & the Doctor should so have ended up together. Her pairing up with Chakotay at the end of Voyager was so out of nowhere that it was laughable...
Such a shame that it never happend for &nand the Doctor, my favorite scene was with them singing you are my sunshine!
I loved the dancing scene :) I still haven't seen the scene where they sing whilst the doctor operates in her. I haven't seen there conversation about the song either, looks like a good scene though :)
I just remembered, when I was watching the show, I actually thought that Seven would be a perfect match for Tuvok before The Doctor. I think I still think that, they were amazing together in Sevens first season. Still, The Doctor and Seven are very cute together.
From the first Seven episode, I wanted to see her with the Doctor.
While Seven and Kim was a cute coupling, Seven and the Doc are made for eachother. Both are encyclopedias, with unlimited learning potential, and searching for perfection. I'd like to see them explore the galaxy together.
that is irrelivant. the likeliness of that ever happening is ... somewhat very unlikely. seven is half human and the doctor is an EMH. there would be no connection between them. i look forward to seeing series six on virgin1 as i have only started to watch it from halfway through series 4
he's a gentleman and so handsome/gentle/adorable. this episode made me like him even more. he's the perfect man and the perfect doctor. :) seven and the Doctor look great together. *swoon* "i dont have any ligaments to tear" XD he can even dance and fix seven of nine's hair.
Fell in love with this pairing the minute i saw it , and its quite obvious why they decided to disregard 3 years of pairing and writing in the last few episodes. Chakotay is more sterotypically handsome and you couldnt possibly ruin thier ratings could they? Im a fan of voyager and always will be but it never ceases to frustrate me with the potential they wasted.
I agree. The Doctor and Seven were meant to be together, there was so much chemistry and building of that relationship. Then suddenly... Chakotay? Really? :/
I agree with you all about the Doctor and Seven of Nine. It would be so logical and perfect for their friendship to evolve into something more. Whenever I see Seven of Nine and Chakotay together, I want to scream at the TV, 'get your hands off of her, you playboy! She's the Doctor's!"
I remember there's an episode where Seven of Nine's nanoprobes assimilated the Doctor's mobile emitter, creating a Borg drone from the future who called himself "One".
Seeing moments like this make me wonder what on earth the writers were thinking putting Seven and Chuckles together....she and the doc had a beautiful bond...a true friedship...Chakotay belongs to Janeway and Doc belongs to Seven...*sighs* alas...sadly it never happened :( x
I'm not remotely familiar with this fandom. But I've watched these clips twice through now, and I love it. These characters are fantastic, their connection is without a doubt deep and true. It's sad that they, apparently, were forgotten in the midst of the story and paired off with others. :(
I love the last scene. No one messes with Doctor's voice. Not even his beloved Seven of Nine. Which by the way so should have happened. I mean who best to fall in love with a hologram other then an ex borg?
Though I stopped Trekkin' years ago, it still breaks my heart when I see this. This was about to be the sweetest love story ever on Star Trek, and turned out to be a kick in the face. It's like in My Fair Lady Eliza would run off with the milkman in the end. The argument that he's a hologram and can't father children is ridiculous. I bet the writers could have thought of a way that her nanoprobes could create some kind of intern emitter for the kids to have a family making the Waltons look cold.
"The argument that he's a hologram and can't father children is ridiculous."
As a matter of fact in episodes 130, Blink of an Eye, the doctor HAS a child while on the planet's surface. The Doctor asks the astronaut, before he returns, to find out what happened to his son. When the man asks how, he simply replies, "it's complicated."
-- I also believe in the beginning of episode 171, End Game, Part I, before future-Janeway time travels, the doctor visits her and says something about procreating.
@strangefruit42 i agree to a point i was skeptical when seven and the commander got togeather I thought that was a cheap plot just a way for her to seem more human before the end
@CymruAlteran The 7/9 subplot was about her reclaiming her humanity and love is considered the epitome of humanity (hence why Vulcans do not feel love) so it logically follows that the end of that story would be for her to find love. However, Chakky despised her from the moment she came on-board. There were two people who had the sort of relationship with her to form romance; the Doctor and Janeway. They took her in, cared for her, guided her in finding her humanity and lost her to that moron.
@strangefruit42 Actually Seven and the Doctor DID have a child -- in a way. In one episode, Seven's nanoprobes infected the Doctor's mobile emitter and (using DNA from an anonymous crewman) caused the emitter to create a friendly advanced Borg drone who went by the name "One." Tragically One died defending the crew, which greatly affected Seven.
I just watched the episode where the Doc and Seven dates, and I must admit.. It made me sad as well, but it relieved me a great deal more. It'd be so sad if she fell for a hologram, I think the doc would agree, she'd be happier with a real person. If she feels happiness that is =P
He can't biologically reproduce no, but otherwise for all intents and purposes he could be a living person. The rather obvious difference between Barclay's addiction and the Doctor is that Barclay was addicted to holo-programs, mindless fantasies created to do whatever he wanted, the Doctor has become a fully sentient, independent being.
How do we know he's truly sentient, when it might just be his program having adapted to better interact with the crew?
He has exceeded his programming, yes. But in what way? Is it still just a heap of programming that's adapted according to it's algorithms? Or has he truly gained sentience?
I'm not gonna try to answer that, but all in all.. Seven should end up with Harry! XD
How are humans any different? Our 'algorithms' just happen to be organic. We take in and 'adapt' to new information, usually to better interact with those around us. There comes a point where you just reach an academic discussion of 'is sentience really sentience?'
Would you call a digital pet, that can learn, act and react, like and dislike.. sentient? If so, are we murdering sentient beings everytime we play advanced AI games? Might not be so, but in the future when AI is more advanced maybe..? You should watch "Flesh and blood", it answers most your questions if you can look at it objectively.
The day I boot up FEAR and Alma tells me she doesn't feel like playing today, and is instead going to go listen to some Beethoven and submit a novel to Houghton Mifflin for publication I'll start to worry about it.
@celestialmoongoddess I don't mean to be rude, but I believe that The Doctor and Seven of Nine's relationship was purely Teacher/Student, respectively.
In japan... students and teachers can get together, its actually looked upon as any normal relationships... its just like falling for your coworker XD anything can happen if you remove boundaries or if soemthing happens. ALTERNATE UNIVERSE FTW!
@celestialmoongoddess I always imagined that to happen in an alternate universe. As far as I´m concerned, they got eachother in the end and the other guy died on some away mission.

System47 computer has also karaoke files! there must be millions of gigaquads. perhaps in 24th century 100tb files can be fitted in plasma cell as 'nano' as bacteria
Does anyone else think these Seven/Doctor sequences would be just hilarious between two guys? Not particularly in the romantic sense, but in the 'training' sense?
Yeah, it was pretty random, but they had to wrap it up. Also, Seven's pretty reclusive, and would probably not let on to anyone who she was interested in before, though.. she sort of did with the Chakotay business.
Seven/Doctor >>>> Seven/Chakotay. They built up this great relationship between Seven and Doctor... then Chakotay is like "omg i love 7 of 9" out of nowhere one episode.
lol yeah, but the Doctor's a hologram, and now he needs him a hologram. Seven also turned him down on a couple occasions before they brought up the Chakotay issue.
Those two are among the awesomest characters in Star Trek history, up there with Data, Kirk, Scotty, Bones, Spock, Picard... errm, all I can remember right now.
God I miss startrek voyager! Seven of Nine is my favorite female character (thank God for the reruns) Startrek the Next Generation was a great series too, but the WRITING, the cast and chemistry of STV is far more fun & entertaining to me (although Commander Riker is still my all time favorite male character).
arent there a scene with the doctor and seven singing klingon drinking songs? i think i remember one... or maybe it was neelix... cant remember, been a while.
chakotay tried so hard for a long time to get with Janeway and she never seemed to give him the time of day. I would have preferred 7 and the doctor over her and Chakotay.
Just you, me and a tuning fork. DIRTY! Loved these scenes by the way. I prefer Seven with anyone (even a single-celled organism) over Chakotay! And the same goes for Janeway. I don't get the JC pairing, and never will.
It was the relationship everyone was hoping for, a hologram and a Borg. A beautiful blond who kicks ass and a witty, sophisticated bald doctor. One with the social graces of an elephant turning into a woman, the other with the bed site manner of a Targ.
Yes!!! And let's not forget the relationship between Odo and Major Kira on DS9...She'd be lookin for Odo in the furniture every evening when she got off from work(lol)

While the Doctor makes for a better relationship, I think little Harry Kim gave up way too easily.
He could have gotten a few months of fucking out of her.
I mean, she was up for some sexy and even told him to take off his clothes and he pussed out.
Even still, I think Seven would be the type to respond to a *persistent* pursuer.
You have to show strength and confidence and never give up.

She does have a good voice

Does anyone else think these Seven/Doctor sequences would be just hilarious between two guys? Not particularly in the romantic sense, but in the 'training' sense?
DeadlyChinchilla 3 years ago
Fair play, Jeri Ryan has a good voice on her....

This comment has received too many negative votes show
As much as I like Trek, the musical numbers were always gay as fuck. They always made me cringe.

yeah.. not even I've used a corny line like that before!

Seven of Nine and the Doctor are easily the coolest fucking characters on Voyager. In a close second is none other than Tuvok.

Beautiful!! I love Star Trek!

they built up a great relationship btw seven and janeway, and then bam with this chakotay nonsense. what a waste.
meatisadelicacy 4 years ago 4
Yeah, it was pretty random, but they had to wrap it up. Also, Seven's pretty reclusive, and would probably not let on to anyone who she was interested in before, though.. she sort of did with the Chakotay business.
Not to mention they're all straight.
FireRupee 4 years ago
Seven/Doctor >>>> Seven/Chakotay. They built up this great relationship between Seven and Doctor... then Chakotay is like "omg i love 7 of 9" out of nowhere one episode.
starlinej 4 years ago 8
lol yeah, but the Doctor's a hologram, and now he needs him a hologram. Seven also turned him down on a couple occasions before they brought up the Chakotay issue.
FireRupee 4 years ago
He ended up with a human female.
F3YR3 4 years ago
Seven of Nine is Human as well. She's just been "Borg Enhanced" :P
darkthunder84 3 years ago
Those two are among the awesomest characters in Star Trek history, up there with Data, Kirk, Scotty, Bones, Spock, Picard... errm, all I can remember right now.

yeah, so like.. everyone.

That last scene always makes me squeal like a fangirl. Had to be the best flirtation ever.

I'm ready to make mini-two-people-colective with a woman like Seven of Nine.
dragoon003 4 years ago
man I'd do seven of nine....she has a nice ass and a good voice...
frankenstein04 4 years ago
You and every hetero- or bisexual male out there who can get an erection. She is beyond mere hot, and the actress is quite good as well.
latexsanta 4 years ago
God I miss startrek voyager! Seven of Nine is my favorite female character (thank God for the reruns) Startrek the Next Generation was a great series too, but the WRITING, the cast and chemistry of STV is far more fun & entertaining to me (although Commander Riker is still my all time favorite male character).
I wish a STV movie is on the works!

i dont know why but....jeri ryan is the best actress ever!!!
doodlebippy 4 years ago
The Doctors favorite genre is obviously satanic death metal, but he thought Seven should start out with a classic.

I just saw that comment that was angry about savatage being trashed. ROFL. And you're totally right, Doc probably listens to carcass or gorgasm LOL

Jeri Ryan is just....wow....

Thanks for putting these clips together, I love the doctor and 7 in this episode XD

chakotay tried so hard for a long time to get with Janeway and she never seemed to give him the time of day. I would have preferred 7 and the doctor over her and Chakotay.
sixteenblackroses 4 years ago
Just you, me and a tuning fork. DIRTY! Loved these scenes by the way. I prefer Seven with anyone (even a single-celled organism) over Chakotay! And the same goes for Janeway. I don't get the JC pairing, and never will.
Nemesis1greekmyth 4 years ago
Tuning fork? hmmm....never mind, ouch. :P
Seven can sing...wow. The doctor looks familiar...was he in Love Actually, by any chance??
SnapeSoul 4 years ago
He was in The Howling... the serial killer, porno-fiend werewolf.
edspohn1012 4 years ago
Omg....how could I forget that?? Thanks! ;D
SnapeSoul 4 years ago
really, I heard he was the jonney cab in 'Total Recall'
loperspest 4 years ago
OK, I'm no American Idol judge here or anything, so is it just me, or does she actually have a really really good voice for singing?!
slagathor2112 4 years ago
I was hoping Seven would eventually fall in love with the Doctor, but they never would follow up on that like Worf and Deanna, Tom and B'lanna.
TBear869 4 years ago
It was the relationship everyone was hoping for, a hologram and a Borg. A beautiful blond who kicks ass and a witty, sophisticated bald doctor. One with the social graces of an elephant turning into a woman, the other with the bed site manner of a Targ.
Alas.
F3YR3 4 years ago 2
Yes!!! And let's not forget the relationship between Odo and Major Kira on DS9...She'd be lookin for Odo in the furniture every evening when she got off from work(lol)
TBear869 4 years ago
this is way better than Seven/Chakotay :)
Chakotay needs to be with Janeway xD

i love this duet! their voices sound good together!

Ag >< You should've put in the scene where the doctor was about to decompile and he tells Seven he loves her. Espisode... Renaissance Man :3
