  • MAKOTO SUJÃO, ELE DA SOCO NO ROSTO DE SEUS OPONENTES.

  • I'm just glad its grandmaster is Korean

  • it looks as if a few punches clipped the face at about 3:40 to 3:43.

    気のせいかな。。。

  • LOL! He looks just like Tsukakoshi with more hair xD

  • Unfortunately this showcases one of the weaknesses of some Kyokushin training, poor sabaki. Kyokushin, in some circles, has devolved into a toe to toe slug match. Why would you try to slug it out with someone that powerful. You aren't going to win, unless you are bigger and stronger.

The guy in the end of the video did a nice job of working against him. Everyone else just played into his strengths.

  • @Iaazathoth You are right to an extent but i study kyokushin and maybe you dont know but kyokushin teaches to use your strengths shihan is a big and powerful man but he does lack flexibility which is paramount to form so he uses his amazing strength and conditioning

  • @Iaazathoth

Yes, but that is really old school kyokushin. They went balls-out, and always forward.

I train kyokushin, and my shihan is constantly drilling into us what you say, that if the guy's bigger, stronger than you, then you have to get out of his way, using angles and attacking from the sides, negating the strength of his power hand (usually the right) by switching your stance and moving around him.

    Otherwise, you'll just get trampled.

Remember, this is really old footage.

  • @Iaazathoth Wow some intelligent comments on this vid!

Agree with most of it. Some truly amazing Sabaki by Ademile Costa (not sure about the spelling) at the end there.

He was really working well against a bigger and stronger opponent. I wish i could move like him. Being only 70kgs. /sigh

  • @AlaKaras90 Take up boxing. It'll teach you a lot about footwork.

  • kenji midori is better

  • 1:21 nice kick ;))

    OSU !

  • i HAVE to say that his technique and flexibility is one of the worst i've ever seen on a kyokushin fighter at such a high level, but who needs technique when you have brute force :P

  • damn that's a funny az comment.

  • 2nd and 3rd were prolly the scariest most fuckin balls-to -the-wall craziest tournaments ever! People fought like there was no tomorrow, so that gives him THAT much credit to the winner of both! OS
