I just love how his guitar is familiar to him, He doesn't even look at it and plays solos without even a single mistake. Actually i have never heard a mistake by him. Or only mistake he made was stepping in that helicopter ._.
@NewZealandBoi11 I believe ignorance is the main reason wars are fought today. So if you have something to say, say it and I'll listen. If it makes sense, I'll even change my view. But if your goal was just to bash me, then I'm sorry I provoked you.
yep we missed all the greats they played hard and died young. if you werent born in the 50's you really had no chance to see rock true greats, Buddy Holly Hendrix Janice Joplin Jim morrison just to name a few
@Pamelina11 Everyone has his beliefs ;) What if my belief was that actually Mary was the lamb and the lamb was Mary? Then everything would be okay for me in this message, but you and SRW would be disrespectful.
What I mean is: chill out. If something someone writes disturbs you, well, it's not a problem for everyone, just for you, since not everybody believes in the things you believe in. If you see a message like this, just let it go. Answering just leads ultimately to an argument.
@NemoCloud The interesting thing here is that Christianity is always attacked. Non believers never make crude disrepectful remarks about other religions or "gods'. It's hurtful to believers & I'm going to defend. It's about mutual respect. Just because someone doesn't believer doesn't mean they have to show disrepect to others. Opinions are OK.. I'm just sick of the language that people think is acceptable on the web. The lack of faith in the world is over exposed! Just saying...
You started saying to (forgot his name) that he has not to say such things. You could have known, intelligent as you are, that answering was leading nowhere, and that in the end you would be defending yourself as the poor christian victim, which is pretty pathetic (pathetic in the original meaning "pathos").
Sorry for being so crude, but I mean: what he was saying was not a direct agression of your religion, only obviously a lack of knowledge.
By always reacting in this kinds of situations (lack of knowledge of this guy), you just show off that actually, yes, you show that your belief has to be the reference belief i this world, which is still some kind of intolerance.
But yes, apart of your intervention: I DO agree with you on the fact that beliefs are too often criticised. If someone said directly : "And if Jesus fucked Mary in the arse?" then it would be obvious intolerance and not acceptable.
@NemoCloud There is NO lack of knowledge. He didn't write the song idiot! It was a vile comment, not the words of the song! You're a disgusting fucking pig that hates hmself so fuck yourself in the ass loser!
I don't know who you are talking about, but I was talking about the guy who wrote "and if the lamb had mary?".
Why the hell do you insult me like this? You're definitely not helping with the "It's about mutual respect" thing just here. Just bloody contradiction.
Pretending yourself to be the spokesperson of tolerance before just makes your last sentence look like actually YOU hate or/and can't bare yourself and try to repress it by insulting other people.

SRV has the best rythym, groove sound weither it's his lead and, or rythym with lead fills. Any performance he did was awesome for his and our time. To me millions of people is kinda of a low number considering how many people listened to him play,....concert, T.V. radio, etc. Thanks 4 the upload.
@NeoGeofanatic Why focus on the 58 when there's almost 3,000 of us? Personally tho... I like his performance of this in Austin better. Check that one out, Reese Wynan's solo is bomb too!
@GiovaneFugazza10 Funny that when you say that, your comment gets liked, and that hence the person you are talking about gets to have the best place on this page... A bit contraductory isn't it? :P

I saw Stevie 4 times, and I would have seen him 4 more if I could have. All I can say is the man was truly amazing. I've seen some of the greats including Page, Clapton, Randy Rhoads, Robin Trower and on and on. But my man Stevie ranked right there at the top of all these guys to me. The world truly lost a great man and a legend on that fateful August night. When I heard the news I felt like I got kicked in the stomach, almost like losing a family member. RIP Stevie. God needed a Bluesman
I saw him exactly one year before he died, playing in Dallas at the state fair, and he was amazing. Could not believe it when he was killed. Drove around for hours.
Music went down since kurt shot himself and britney rose to the top... and that EXCACTLY the same basic pop build-up that since that time got created is being used today is such a.. waste and shame. (Btw, exceptians are made, Michal J. really was an good artist with excellent musical knowledge) Think we'll need the matter in our own hands. Buddy Guy has been called the bridge between the blues and rock and roll. He is one of the historic links between Chicago electric blues pioneers Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf and popular musicians like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page as well as later revivalists like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Vaughan stated that, "Without Buddy Guy, there would be no Stevie Ray Vaughan."
@LynxX996 Man music today is completely screwed up. I like some of the artists but a lot of it is simply garbage.Nowadays anybody can get a record deal, and you don't even have to play an instrument or sing. You can lip sync or rap and scratch on a turntable and make millions. I think image today means more than actual talent. The record execs sell you an image, your imagination does the rest.

An instruments use is to express something, right?
So what you hear when Stevie goes at it, is his exact state of mind in that particular moment.
A lot of musicians today seem to forget that.
So I believe that it does'nt matter which instrument you play, as long as you have the talent to use it.
Talent to use it as a gateway, something that connects you to others.
Today it's not about connecting through the music, it's all marketing and mass production.
