i live on lake boca. this happened right outside of my house i watched the whole thing happen. there was smoke so thick inside my house that the alarms went off and there was debris floating everywhere in the water. i found a giant chunk of the hull
I have to agree with NYFD maniac, by letting it burn you are burning the fuel which is going up and although its going into the air and polluting the air its better than getting into the water and affecting the marine life , and areas where people swim and recreate. Its the lesser of the evils ! Also you shouldn`t have firefighters on a vessell that is not worth saving ! Dangerous. Coastguard BOB
I was at work at the Boca resort and watched this whole thing go down. At one point the boat was on fire heading straight for the docks on the East side of Lake Boca. It was a lot more exciting than this music....... I don't think the "fire boat" has the capacity to put this fire out if they wanted to. Not enough GPM's coming out of their "master stream" =)
I did an audio swap when I uploaded the video here but can't remember the track details. If you know of a way to find that info in youtube I'll check.
Apparently the new layout of youtube also displays the music info: Artist: Cryout Song: Rasta Fire Album: Nothing Beats A Failure But A Try Time: 06:49 Genre: World
I can `t believe this fire captain had his crew on this non salvageable boat with no hazards nearby.Must be a new rookie Captain .I worked for NYFD Marine 9 Staten for 23 yrs and i let this crap burn.Lucky he didn ` t get his crew killed.Once the fire is in the engine compartment and compromises the hull the boat will be a total loss anyhow, maybe scrap .Hopefully he learns from this.
@NYFDmaniac Yes...the right thing to do is let toxic materials burn and pollute the water/air. It would be crazy to spray water on a fire and put it out. Pls chg name to "NYFDretard".
