OK for all the haters, if he wants to put Tobacco in his smoke then fukken let him. It's common here in Australia despite weed being cheap. We prefer the taste that way.

Next, for the uneducated, a blunt is rolled from cigar paper (made from a tobacco leaf). A joint is rolled with paper or a pre-rolled tube (ie cyclone or a cigarette tube). Blunts, joints, spliffs whatever CAN have tobacco in them.

We used to hollow out cigars to roll our blunts.

What some of you are referring to as a joint and blunt are somewhat wrong. A joint is rolled with papers like cigarette papers (filled with weed). A blunt is actually rolled with cigar paper (made of dried tobacco) and filled with weed. A Spliff is what you are referring to as containing tobacco and weed. And to everyone else, who cares if it is a spliff or all weed joint, its all for personal enjoyment.
