The book wasn't THAT good people.. otherwise a major studio would have made this movie and cashed in long ago. The director did the best she could with an indulgent, albeit addictive book.

Of course, I read all four in a week. I thought the first book had promise, I thought it must have been a very young author. It read like a fanfic to be honest. The second and third books were much along the same introspective curve. The fourth book was absolute garbage!

There was humor and passion but it was surrounded by so much "fluff" it was difficult not to roll my eyes and edit. I actually rewrote six chapters of the fourth book before giving up on it entirely.
