This is to lutang, first of all, she should be making his comment in English so everybody can understand, and second there are too many people here claiming to be so and so generation of whatever style, ba ba. If it is not tai chi, it is not tai chi if you are doing something else. Try to understand what it is meant substance in tai chi and not apply your technique with different style.
I have trained in martial arts since 1971. Master Yu is one of the very greatest teachers I have ever met and been privileged to train with. His art is very combat oriented, and I can attest to his skill level.
Does beautiful makes it tai chi. It just show that some people who do tai chi is for the look of it. What about the principle of tai chi and the reason for doing it, and it also show that these same people don't know a tit about tai chi. Please don't go to Wiki to get you info again to impress people with.
A masterful form. The silk reeling is so infused in this form, you can see the wave of energy from the feet, through the legs, waist, arms, wrists... very special, and inspiring. Those lucky New Yorkers, to have such a teacher there!
Your form is very powerful. I did not think I would get to see this. Now I fill better.
"An artist must possess Nature. He must identify himself with her rhythm, by efforts that will prepare the mastery which will later enable him to express himself in his own language".
Is this Shao Lin or someexternal form? I do not see body leads those hands and this guy stands on both his feet most of the time, ba! Good to look at with no substnace.
@kunshoe I trained with Master Yu, and the moment you put your hands on him, you find yourself spiraling to the ground. It very definitely has substance.
You are a true master. I have seen many videos here on youtube and your form is by far one of the best. i can see how natural and smooth the flow of Qi is in all the movements . Thank you for this video..
