  • I loved this concert piece. Fogerty had to know that Springsteen was wired and the classy guy that John is, he did his thang and showed the boss up without trying and all being 64 yrs old. Voice, music and all. John, you are one classy person and i'm proud of you brother.

  • Someone should report Springsteen for indecent music. He is so overdone and phony, it's comical. He makes an a** out of himself too much lately with his faces, poor guitar skills, and un natural movements, full of himself. So typical, I cracked up when he stole the Runaways' song title and bellowed at everyone, "THATS ROCK N ROLL". arf

  • Just magic. You can tell Bruce has a lot of respect for John, and he really enjoys being on stage with him :)

  • @audiohex but does Fogarty respect Springsteen? Doubt it. He was a burden in the song as he is for the E Street band

  • No words, speechless.... amazing really

  • Blue collar rock. The have a lot in common those two.

  • i like the original version better. but this is still the best song in existence.

try listening to it while playing COD

  • カッケー(*_*)

  • Something about Bruce and his pseudo hillbilly stage persona and vocal stylings annoys me. Dude has been getting on my nerves since the mid 80s. Fogerty, however, is ageless and timeless. Great performance by him and the rest of the band

  • Was not much of a Springsteen fan, but these guys together are good! Love the horns on Pretty Woman!!

  • I thought Bruce was introducing Conan O'Brien in the beginning?!?!

  • God Bless the boss and all that he is.... but when he sings he second verse it looks like he's got to poop...or is pooping

  • i always thot fortunate son meant he isnt a fortunate son b/c hes not a senators son and everything else in the song (i know in the nam war if u were rich/son of a person with high authority u cud go to college or pull strings to avoid the draft without going to canada) but i read somewhere it had to do with david eisenhower(dwights grandson) and nixons daugter getting married or something...help?

  • @obeseotters the funny thing is that more people volunteered for the vietnam war than any other war (except WW2)...so while the draft still happened and is a bad thing to be drafted into the military service for a war, but still thought you may want to know something many dont know

  • @obeseotters

I think your first impression was right.

He's speaking for all of the regular people that had to go to war in Vietnam, and he's speaking against all of the "senator's sons" who pretty much had what you would call 'Diplomatic Immunity', which meant they got to stay home and watch the fight on TV.

  • @obeseotters Well you're basically right. Every writer writes about this song differently, this is a definite when I say that it's about Fogerty being the one who has to fight it out in Vietnam because he's a normal guy not the sheltered snob of a senator (i.e the "senator's son).

  • WOOOW

    THATS ROCK'N ROLL

    Springsteen is the Best

    Greeting from Germany ;-)

  • You got the god of rock and roll together with the boss, what else do you need?

  • still no dislikes...mind you, how could you really...

  • One of the easiest songs to play on guitar (Fortunate Son). You can just pick it up and jam like there ain't no tomorrow. I've jammed with my friends on this one and we had about the same amount of pure energy.

  • My dad always listen to john when i was very little, saw him this summer on peace and love festival in sweden, amazing! true legends on stage

  • WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!

  • 0 dislikes

meens all dickeads are overpowered by the awsomness and die

  • que video tan chido

  • The power and the passion.

  • i want to see them both live so fucking badly. they fucking rock and they should be in the rock and roll hall of famre

  • i like how every guitar player it seems, still plugs in rather than use wireless. ah the good old days. great rendition

  • @theplourde That's because there's still no comparison in terms of quality, wireless takes a lot out of your tone.

  • max is fuckin jamming. van zandt looks bored. other than that its a great rendition.

  • love the one on the guitars

  • Super awesome! The crowd really sucks balls though...

  • John Fogarty... rocks!

  • top level

  • yes YES YES!!! Thank you for not disappointing. That's why these guys are and always have been the Greats =)

  • Friggin' awesome!

  • John still got it! not many can sing like that ! /bows

  • There is not enough word to describe how good this is! Awesome!

  • @jokerit911 I couldn't agree more. I saw Bruce and John on 10/8/04 in Orlando on the Vote For Change tour, from the Pit, 10 feet away, after my wife, 8-year old daughter & I were upgraded by someone who saw me struggling to hold her up to see from mid-court.

I'm a huge Fogerty fan, but had never seen him - Bruce I'd seen - about 50 times. Having the loves of my life at my side while watching two legends play the greatest anti-war song to come out of Vietnam was a lifetime thrill.

  • two great artist...

  • Awesome!! =D

  • Defiant and pissed off. Great.

  • GOLD!!

  • Que bueno!!!!!!

  • great video!!
