The song (Golden Earrings) is used in the 1947 film 'Golden Earrings'. The lyrics were by Ray Evans. Paramount got it's number one star and biggest recording star in America at the time, Bing Crosby, to make a record of it. Bing's record sold well, but the big hit version was by Peggy Lee.

this is wonderful! I love the song that you put to Rita's pictures. You know, Rita Hayworth was actually Spanish, so this has a bit of flare of "south of the border" in it. If I may make a suggestion, you should consider making a slideshow of the two dancing queens: Ginger Rogers and Rita Hayworth; after all, they were cousins. If you make the slideshow, you should have images of them dancing one after the other. Take care!
