In 1955 or '56, my sister and her best friend sang this song in an amateur hour. My sister played her baritone ukelele. She and her friend worked out a harmony to a slightly different tune. I was quite young. I remember sitting in the darkened auditorium, watching my sister on a stage, of all places, singing a silly song quite beautifully. They won 1st prize. It is one of my few really warm and cherished memories of my sister. Thanks for this vid.
It was 2011 when I first saw this video, never knew it exsisted. It was, I believe, my first video, I was nineteen. My reaction: Should have worn bangs to cover my tall forehead, and gotten rid of the red hair dye. Over the years, my hair was Black, brown, and red, again. I finally let it grow in. I was a natural ash blonde. Go figure.
