This is fantastic information guys. I was 6 years old when I asked my mom about where babies came from. Apparently, she read me an article from a magazine hoping it would help me since she wasn't comfortable talking about it. No surprise, it confused me and my sister had to explain it to me....diagram and all. Even though my mom confused the hell out of me, I still give her points for attempting to tell me what I needed to know instead of telling me they came from the fricken stork!
Opponents to zoo are like terrorists by what they want to do. Say that they want to do have done. Zoos should be protected.. Sex should be allowed to occur out side in full view. So other zoos can se if whoever is really abusing the animals? I heard a zoo complaining how the cows are treated like humans were in concentration camps. Zoos are very sensitive how non human animals are treated. Would be like unmarked police.
No one would want an irate zoo coming after you I guarantee it.
Zoosexuality should be taught. Bestiality is casual sex between two diff species. Physiologically humans are animals, can help preserve dog biodiversity. Human population controlled, unwanted pregnancy, teen age abortions, barbaric altering. No need for condoms or surgery of any kind. No stroke causing birth control pills. Can help the overall population, environment, have a calm submissive dogs. If someone see's a human, and a dog having sex just ignore it or wink. No STDs.
Sex should be taught by both schools and parents. Parents candidly talking about sex can take away what physical "shame" accompanied by puberty, while school's teaching sex ed can aleviate (sp?) at least a little of the social tension between classmates.
Continue:--this out is because often times rape cases arent reported and planned parenthood dont take actions to report a case where a girl was attacked by her rapest. Planned parenhood including the sex educators who go to these schools make sure that a case of rape is not reported to the cops so that way planned parenthood wont lose their customers
Sure it's a hoax. It's a total scam. They teach sex ed to 11 y.o's in schools as a requirement in health class. And in order to pass health class to move up a grade they have to take it. Then that peaks their curiosity for the experience. Next the girls make nude picture of their self sends them to boys on the net or cell phone then the boy gets charged with a crime ( NOT THE GIRL WHO MADE THEM). Or either gets charged or someone else for a minor having sex.
Sex ed in schools in no more than molestation. Look up the definition of molestation. Or if you want I'll post the definition of it. If should be up to the parents no one else.
To nobullshhh: I couldnt more, sex education is nothing more but child grooming. All these higher ratio of sex scandals that happens in our schools stems from Sex education thats being forced in our kids throats. Sexual indoctrination in our schools is the closest thing to the classic Soviet Union

Sex education should be removed from our schools. The state has no right forcing their morality on our students when you can see that these are the same liberals who want to have God under attacked in our public schools. Kids should be learning Math, english, history and other subjects that will land them into a good college unlike learning about condoms

My parents have not yet talked to me about sex (but I am 12), but fortunately I know all about it. I've learned about it by visiting Teen Health sites and I am confident I will know what to do when it comes to sex.
We had a sex education in school, where we learned exactly what happens. It was focused more on the scientific side (journey of sperm etc) but we learned about the diseases. The teacher did say 'use protection' but he didn't actually mention condoms :\
I don't believe in religion at all, and I hate how it complicates every simple matter. We live in an overly-PC world and everyone is afraid of being 'offensive' to other people's beliefs, which just makes everything a bigger issue than it should be.

At my school they had this guy come and talk about how abstinence is the best way. he also talked about std's and the risks of getting them if you have sex or oral sex and the risk of getting pregnant. He did also say that if you do have sex (preferable much much later in life) you have to use a condom but you could still get pregnant or a std cause it is not always effective. But most of the session was focused on abstinence. I thought that was sufficient enough.

As for teens, I think that the pregnancy rates and STD spread is directly linked to the taboo of sex.
I just found this Dan and Jenn community and it is very nice. I wish I had found this earlier when I was younger as a teen because there is so much I didn't know about sex. Even today I don't know very much, or nearly as much as I would like to... I really appreciate this opportunity for my boyfriend and I to learn from your site/forum/videos (=
All I ever needed to know about sex came from the internet and porn. Sex ED was extreemly pathetic. They were trying to "teach" us how to say no with using different phrases against doing something they didn't even teach us and assumed we all knew fully well what sex was. This was in middle school.
Hey ur right.I learn all of my stuff on the internet instead of my parents.Hey look on the bright side New generation more knowledge for them and will learn better.Yes u r right about the grandparents they do make better parents.
u cannot study 'all religions' there are just wayyy too many. for example the flying spagetti monster and the invisible pink unicorn. should those be taught to children seriously?
and how can the schools decide which religions are teachable while others are not?
My school was useless and my parents did not do a very good job ether.
Lucky for me i have a very curious attitude and tried to learn EVERYTHING i could get my hands on. I read books, watched videos (yay, discovery channel), and just tried to soak up any amount of factual information i could get.
I was lucky also, that i only cared about facts. I wasn't interested in what other kids had to say, and i had already learned that religion could not be trusted.
Hi Dan & Jen. Just had a chance to watch this program on Sex Ed. You were right on in my opinion. The mis-information/no-information out there is outrageous. I had little to no information from my parents. It was imbarrassing for me with my friends when I was not educated in the facts-of-life. Thanks for bringing this most important topic to the front. Hope there can be more discussions on this. (even if there are a lot of ruffeled feathers). Great Job
I disagree. To me, keeping the next gen away from learning all religions is to ignore one of the major components of our heritage as a race. I think we owe it to future gens to teach them how previous generations have tried to make sense of the world with religion. Then the next gen can have a better sense of how they can fit in it...with or without religion. As Jenn said, we must educate/guide/direct our kids and give them as much info to make an informed decision.
To lavinder11: Do you honestly believe in your right mind that Sex education is helping our kids at all?? This is nothing more but a load of liberal garbage that needs to be taken out of our schools. And if you believe that this program can reduce STDS, then you are really as liberal WACKY as they come. The state has no right to force their sexual morality on our kids and if anything, education should belong at home to the parents to educate our kids
The main point of my comment was that parents should not be dishonest with their children. Of course I dislike the public system, but if the parents aren't doing jack, then someone has to.
That's fine then. You can homeschool your children if that's how you feel - I don't have any with you. I'm just saying, the no abstinence route is clearly not working.
After working with elementary children for a while (public) you figure out quickly how much they 'know' about sex already. While your comments didn't address the points I made, I still stand by saying they need something else other than abstinence only.
lavinder11. You say someone has to teach them sex ed. Why? When my parents were growing grew up they didn't about it. Not until they were ready to get married. Can argue things then were much better than they are now? Today morals are gone in part by those who turned their backs on Christianity sex ed and lefty TV networks. Do you deny they teach 11 y.o's everything about sex offering rubbers shots pills and abortions, then turn right around and bust them for things sexually related?
Well, your parents are lucky they didn't get an STD then. I'm fairly positive that when your parents got married, there wasn't a rapidly growing population of AIDS.
I can tell you that in the 3 years I had sex ed. I was not taught a thing about abortion. As for turning backs on Christianity.. please brah, people are moral without the good book and had been for millions of years before it reared its head.
I just think it's an American mentality to talk about freedom, but have hangups about the
And about finding things online - you've got to be kidding me. Most of the crap online is just that - and a 1000 times worse than anything they could 'learn' from their friends at school. Anyway, from what I remember if you didn't want your child in sex ed, then they didn't have to be. So what's this about 'forcing sexual moralities' on children? Why don't you just turn the TV off (which is good to do anyway) take them out of school and educate them yourself
You're complaining about the state forcing things on us (which is a legitimate complaint) but that doesn't apply to you as well?
I'm just saying I respect your opinion and agree with some parts of it. I just think your finger is pointing in the wrong direction. You should point some more fingers.
In the days of my parents VD's wasn't popular except with whores. That's why it wasn't a problem. When we went to school it was forced or we couldn't pass health class or that grade level. I wasn't talking about them teaching about abortions. I'm talking about them giving them without parents approval. Now tell me how would they learn anything any worse about sex on line than anything they'd learn in sex ed?
Spitzbully. Sex ed isn't needed unless someone plans to have sex and whats to know about it as in getting married having children. Otherwise all it's doing is encouraging it.
To nobullshhh: Anyone can findout about sex and the anatomy of it through reading books, internet etc.
But i just dont think the state should get involved just because the parents arent educating their kids on it.
Thats basically what the state is all about when they know the parents arent benifiting their kids, they are all about getting into your shoes and telling you whats right for your own kids.
The school system are basically employed by the German Nazi propaganda
To nobullshhh: I couldnt agree more, sex education does encourage kids to go out and have sex and experience the use of condoms during intercourse. Sex education has not been proven to reduce STDS which we all know is is a down right hoax
Sure it's a hoax. It's a total scam. They teach sex ed to 11 y.o's in schools as a requirement in health class. And in order to pass health class to move up a grade they have to take it. Then that peaks their curiosity for the experience. Or either gets charged or someone else for a minor having sex.
To nobullshhh: Yeah its down right sick to teach an 11 year old child how to put a condom on like as if this silly program will make a difference for their life.
Personally i dont think a kid that age should move up a grade because their own parents refuses their kids to take the programs.
But from what i foundout that most sex educators who work for planned parenthood often sympathize the RAPEST after when a girl has been raped and needs an abortion. The reason why i found Continue:--

Dentasure or petzlife for teeth. can teach more.
To nobullshhh: This Lavinder11 is an idiot, what she doesnt relize is that by learning this junk in our schools, she is feeding into nothing more but this communist propaganda which is what most of these sex educators are who run Planned parenthood.
Most of these so-called teachers who wanna act like the social workers than teach our kids the REAL requirments that will get them into college are employed by the Soviet Union
To Lavinder11: Since when does anyone have to teach anyone anything if the parents arent doing Jack?? NO NO NO!!! YOU HAVE THE WRONG MY FREIND!!. The state has no DAMN RIGHT to FORCE THEIR SEXUAL MORALITYS ON OUR KIDS. This is not the Soviet Union in Russia where sexual indoctrinations should be spoonfed to kids when they can already fine this shit out through reading books or online
I had my first sex ed class in the fifth grade. It was optional then and there were about 30 kids in the class.
When an 11 year old girl got pregnant, they made it mandatory all through 6-8th grade. I remember the principal saying if the parents won't do it, then I'll pick up the slack.
A lot of kids were taken out of school permanently, but I don't remember any pregnant girls for my class.
I liked the comment about being honest with your children.

I did pretty well

Hi Dan & Jen. Just had a chance to watch this program on Sex Ed. You were right on in my opinion. The mis-information/no-information out there is outrageous. I had little to no information from my parents. It was imbarrassing for me with my friends when I was not educated in the facts-of-life. Thanks for bringing this most important topic to the front. Hope there can be more discussions on this. (even if there are a lot of ruffeled feathers). Great Job

Count me in with your view that all religions should be taught Jenn.
Antichrys 3 years ago
Absolutely! Hate tends to come from ignorance and following something completely blindly without thinking or knowing!
DanAndJenn 3 years ago
I'd just prefer for religions should be left out of school. Accept for perhaps a general theology/mythology class or two.
But it should be made clear that they are all just myths, that might have a few good points or have entertainment value.
halo2994 3 years ago 2

However, it wasn't that long ago when adults thought STDs came from nasty women...
I support the schools informing kids, because hopefully they'll be objective. But parents shouldn't be dishonest with their kids.
lavinder11 3 years ago 2
To lavinder11: Do you honestly believe in your right mind that Sex education is helping our kids at all?? This is nothing more but a load of liberal garbage that needs to be taken out of our schools. And if you believe that this program can reduce STDS, then you are really as liberal WACKY as they come. The state has no right to force their sexual morality on our kids and if anything, education should belong at home to the parents to educate our kids
spitzbully 2 years ago
The main point of my comment was that parents should not be dishonest with their children. Of course I dislike the public system, but if the parents aren't doing jack, then someone has to.
lavinder11 2 years ago
lavinder11. I like to refer to child sex ed with the correct title and that's Sexual Molestation. Because that's exactly what it is.
nobullshhh 2 years ago
That's fine then. You can homeschool your children if that's how you feel - I don't have any with you. I'm just saying, the no abstinence route is clearly not working.
After working with elementary children for a while (public) you figure out quickly how much they 'know' about sex already. While your comments didn't address the points I made, I still stand by saying they need something else other than abstinence only.
lavinder11 2 years ago
lavinder11. You say someone has to teach them sex ed. Why? When my parents were growing grew up they didn't about it. Not until they were ready to get married. Can argue things then were much better than they are now? Today morals are gone in part by those who turned their backs on Christianity sex ed and lefty TV networks. Do you deny they teach 11 y.o's everything about sex offering rubbers shots pills and abortions, then turn right around and bust them for things sexually related?
nobullshhh 2 years ago
Well, your parents are lucky they didn't get an STD then. I'm fairly positive that when your parents got married, there wasn't a rapidly growing population of AIDS.
I can tell you that in the 3 years I had sex ed. I was not taught a thing about abortion. As for turning backs on Christianity.. please brah, people are moral without the good book and had been for millions of years before it reared its head.
I just think it's an American mentality to talk about freedom, but have hangups about the
lavinder11 2 years ago
same freedoms we love to brag about.
Why don't you just turn the TV off (which is good to do anyway) take them out of school and educate them yourself
lavinder11 2 years ago
You're complaining about the state forcing things on us (which is a legitimate complaint) but that doesn't apply to you as well?
I'm just saying I respect your opinion and agree with some parts of it. I just think your finger is pointing in the wrong direction. You should point some more fingers.
lavinder11 2 years ago
In the days of my parents VD's wasn't popular except with whores. That's why it wasn't a problem. When we went to school it was forced or we couldn't pass health class or that grade level. I wasn't talking about them teaching about abortions. I'm talking about them giving them without parents approval. Now tell me how would they learn anything any worse about sex on line than anything they'd learn in sex ed?
nobullshhh 2 years ago
Erroneous information. But on that note (the whores note) I'm leaving the conversation.
lavinder11 2 years ago
lavinder11. Erroneous? I don't think so. When Know what I know then come back and talk to me. I know what I'm talking about.
nobullshhh 2 years ago
To Lavinder11: did you or did you not say that if the parents wont teach Jack to their kids that someone else will AKA like the state??
The state cannot get involved by law and force their moralitys on the kids unless the parents give parental notification.
And just to let you know is that the state if NOT GOD!!!!
spitzbully 2 years ago
Spitzbully. Sex ed isn't needed unless someone plans to have sex and whats to know about it as in getting married having children. Otherwise all it's doing is encouraging it.
nobullshhh 2 years ago
To nobullshhh: Anyone can findout about sex and the anatomy of it through reading books, internet etc.
But i just dont think the state should get involved just because the parents arent educating their kids on it.
Thats basically what the state is all about when they know the parents arent benifiting their kids, they are all about getting into your shoes and telling you whats right for your own kids.
The school system are basically employed by the German Nazi propaganda
spitzbully 2 years ago
To nobullshhh: I couldnt agree more, sex education does encourage kids to go out and have sex and experience the use of condoms during intercourse. Sex education has not been proven to reduce STDS which we all know is is a down right hoax

Sure it's a hoax. It's a total scam. They teach sex ed to 11 y.o's in schools as a requirement in health class. And in order to pass health class to move up a grade they have to take it. Then that peaks their curiosity for the experience. Next the girls make nude picture of their self sends them to boys on the net or cell phone then the boy gets charged with a crime ( NOT THE GIRL WHO MADE THEM). Or either gets charged or someone else for a minor having sex.
nobullshhh 2 years ago
To nobullshhh: Yeah its down right sick to teach an 11 year old child how to put a condom on like as if this silly program will make a difference for their life.
Personally i dont think a kid that age should move up a grade because their own parents refuses their kids to take the programs.
But from what i foundout that most sex educators who work for planned parenthood often sympathize the RAPEST after when a girl has been raped and needs an abortion. The reason why i found Continue:--

@spitzbully why? I've had sexual encounters when I was 10...I wish I had known a little bit more... its not sick, Its informative

To nobullshhh: This Lavinder11 is an idiot, what she doesnt relize is that by learning this junk in our schools, she is feeding into nothing more but this communist propaganda which is what most of these sex educators are who run Planned parenthood.
Most of these so-called teachers who wanna act like the social workers than teach our kids the REAL requirments that will get them into college are employed by the Soviet Union
spitzbully 2 years ago
