  • Vince Flynn is incredible. We need more men and women like him.

  • My last name is Flynn :)

  • What it makes me think about is that our enemies would have to factor in politics when it comes to interrogation,

  • I have read half of Vince Flynn's books in just a few weeks, and they are some of the best books I have read. In regards to our nation's safety, we have only had 1-5 major terrorist attacks in 300 years as a nation. What we are doing in the Middle East is the equivalent to shooting a roach with a shotgun but missing every time. Covert and black ops are the way to go, but we are no safer now then in the years prior to 9/11, just more broke from foreign occupations and 2 consecutive bad Pres.

  • I was against all forms of torture until I read some of his books. There are some bad people out there and they don't deserve to be treated with the respect that we often give them. They won't play nice just because we ask them to.

  • tarmac

  • Lol, he barley lets him talk.

  • i really like Vince Flynn's books, read them nearly all. Too bad he's a conservative nut, but I enjoy his books anyway!! Its kind of the same weird thing with Tom Clancy ;D

  • There is nothing wrong about torturing terrorists. We've got to stop being politically correct on those who hates our way of life.

  • if bill would just shut up and let the man speak.

  • Vince Flynn is right. The liberals are destroying our security.

If you get a chance, read his books. He's fantastic with his Mitch Rapp hero.

  • @Dhimmicrats Did you even listen to what he said? "Over the last 7 years, the attrition rate has been so high." He is speaking to a general position of the American government since 2004 (pretty much since Abu Gharib broke). If you think that the operational tempo has dropped off since 2008....then you don't have a clue about what is going on and should probably do some reading before you keep posting non-sense like "the liberals are destroying our security."

  • Excuse me, this is stupid. And I work in a bookstore.

  • vince flynn is a genious

  • i love vince flynn's books and was excited at the thought of a mitch rapp movie but noe that i hear cbs has bought the rights i am pissed! go read the last templer and then watch the shitty made for tv movie. it was the worst adaptation ive ever seen. if vince lets them screw this up ill be pissed!

  • The rights were bought by CBS FILMS, a new production company which is totally different. the movie will be a theatrical release

  • Thanks for the info I was hoping that they would make one of his books a major motion picture...

  • heres a better idea. How about shutting the fuck up and let the CIa do their job they do best which is DEFENDING AMERICA FROM TERRORISTS. We respect them without question.

  • Yep USA is the best country god bless America! And Vince Flynn's books are amazing. It shows a little taste of reality of how the right way to deal with terrorists to the radical left wingers.

  • I couldnt agree with you more.:) Fuck the terrorists and fuck their perverted twisted view of Islam. And now that Obama is a president what do you think of him? I think hes an idiot for wanting to close gitmo. Hes a dumb liberal.

  • MrUSAconservative:

Do you really think he's going to just let the guys in gitmo go? He's just gunna build another prison up in Alaska or some island in antarctica. Why would'nt he? Gitmo's taken enough crap, and he knows it, you know it, I know it.

  • I really hope you are right. Honestly Antarctica or Alaska would be better cuz its so far away and the bitchy press would be less likely to make a stink about the CIa being heroes and protecting the USA from the whackos.

  • Exactly, Obama is playing both sides and the media does what he expects them to as president. Hell, you can even say hes playin ahmidinejad the motherfucker, lol. He's aiming his speeches at the youth in Iran and stirring up support against ahmidinejad which is working out pretty good so far. He's basically doing what he does best, which is letting the opposition tear themselves apart. Al Qaeda had nothing to say but meaningless rhetoric the other day as usual. Politics is similar to psychology.

  • damn straight

  • First off, "Having someone sit or stand in stress positions, breaking thier dignaty, altering thier diet, altering thier sleep patterns, depriving them of sensory imput, ie; the lights never go out in thier cell a watch etc is not torture."? Last time I checked, all of these can, and often do, lead to some form of traumatic stress disorder... Thus, all can be considered torture. Fact, most intel gained from torture is false. A man wil tell you anything to end the pain. Torture is wrong!!!

  • Yeah so if you actualy feel sorry for the perverted whackjobs who kill americans and saudamize their prisoners, then maybe u should try to set them free and understand them. Do you honestly think they like you or will have any respect for you? The reality is they hate anybody whos not a radical thug and perverts the koran like them. They deserve torture in any means necessary.

  • torture is wrong but lets face it What is more wrong? some terrorist gets tortured or a bus full of innocent kids get blown to bits I think the decision is easy. oh and if torture didn't work it would've gone out of style about 4000 years ago

  • @Overkill303 Exorcism doesn't work. People still do it.

  • @Overkill303 Sure that situation is fine. Beleive the media has dubbed it the Bauer situation. Which only one example has come up, without evidence from the UK and America. But what about inocent people who get the same torture without actually doing anything? Does that not get your consent? One example when 1000's have been tortured?

  • francis7841:

So...if you're holding my family hostage, I capture you because you hold that information, and you won't tell me, then I just let you go and give you a cookie?

  • We do not torture. Having someone sit or stand in stress positions, breaking thier dignaty, altering thier diet, altering thier sleep patterns, depriving them of sensory imput, ie; the lights never go out in thier cell a watch etc is not torture. These means employed to break these terrorists coupled with targeted questioning are extremely effective at breaking these people and getting good hard intel. A bomb about to go off somewhere in the U.S.? Well that calls for throwing out the rule book

  • That's a load of crap. The US isn't number one in much of anything anymore: Not education, not innovation, not medical advancement, not health care.

And secondly, when terrorists are tortured it puts you and all of the American people in more danger than if they weren't. That's a fact.

  • I would certainly agree with you in regards to education...but who runs education in this country? Democrats. We spend an average of $12,000 per student per year to run them through our education system. We as tax payers get almost no return on the dollar. Japan spends about $3000 per year per pupil. Thier teachers are not liberal hacks who get tenure. Also, our school teachers have the honor of holding the bottom 20% for SAT scores... they're not the sharpest crayons in the box.

  • Well said.... I would say that 75% or more of all of the teachers i have had grade school to college were democrate... point the finger at yourself before you blame someone else

  • Nothing of what u just said has any truth what so ever. America has the best healthcare for one because private healthcare is the best and that socialist bullshit healthcare is horrible. Go to England and see for yourself how much it sucks. And I'd love to see those third world countries do better in health care and education than the USA.

  • And that is why EVERYONE is talking about the U.S. health care crisis? I've been treated by the British health care system before, and it was pretty freaking fabulous, thanks very much. And don't be stupid; not every non-American country is third world. In the first world however, we're pretty much the worst in terms of education and health care.

  • I can tell you where you are wrong. A lot of people talk about healthcare crisis just because its expensive. Are you kidding me my doctor was saying how in England the healthcare sucks because her husband had a heart attack there and they waited a day just to do special treatment. How stupid is that? You dont wait for that shit you do it RIGHT AWAY if you wait the person can be dead by then. In the USA they treat you right away. Also she said in England most people have awful teeth.

  • Also I did not say "every country besides USA is a third world" I know thats not true. I know what ur saying is just wrong so enlighten me how is our healthcare and education bad? How does education suck if so many people succeed with great careers? And as for healthcare i hate obamas stupid idea for it and thats what my doctor was worried about. Private health care is the best and this socialistic bullshit will only be worse and result in more deaths especially for older people.

  • Give me one idea that you have in your pea size brain that would work better. Let something happen to your family... not someone far off let it be your mother father sister or brother

  • Uh ... sleep deprivation is not torture? What an idiot. Just because your language allows you to represent it mockingly doesn't automatically mean it's stupid.

  • sleep deprivation is classified as torture in the Geneva Convention

  • Yes, obviously.

  • In this case it does not matter. These poeple are not covered under the articles of the Geneva Convention. These are enemy combatants that do not where a uniform and hide in hospitals and religious sites when the bombs atart falling...also a no no when it comes to the Geneva Convention. These people are subject to immediate summary execution under the articles of the Geneva convention. Lefties always seem to forget these little details.

  • im on your side. my comment after re-reading it makes me seem like a lefty but im 100% on your side. the tone of my comment was that it is ridiculous that even sleep deprivation is classified as torture in the Geneva convention.

  • This is ridiculous, if the insurgents we pick up in iraq or afghanistan are really doing something that deserves, in this sense, torture, would they not be breaking international laws as well? This country was founded on the idea of the rule of law and it only degrades our respectability to lower ourselves down to torture. The right wing has lost what it truly means to be patriotic: to want the best for your country, and torture is not what is best for our country.

  • We will see what your PC ass says the day one of your family members dies at the hands of a terrorist... I hope that you find out that the right wing radicals hand someone they wanted to get answers out of but they just let him go on his word that he knew nothing... What an asshole. You should move to another country if you hate the way we protect our own.

  • Oh, trust me, I understand being fed up with the government. Many of those people who are in charge DON'T get it, and it's pretty frustrating.

Hopefully, Obama will do a better job than Mr. Bush.

  • Not to mention that torture doesn't even work.

In fact, it makes us less safe. Al Quaeda is using the information that we torture as a way to recruit people. Torture is illegal in our American law, by international law, it's morally bankrupt, and it is the opposite of helpful.

Please don't pin the pro-torture viewpoint on all of us. The truth is, many of us DO get it, but there's little we can do about it at the moment.

  • shutup, id torture you if I knew you had info regarding my family, im sure you would too..idiot...use your head

  • fuckoreilly

  • bill doesnt feel safe in his cushy job? :o hehe what better way than inflaming those fears by interviewing the writer of a FICTIONAL novel. what was the point of this interview to begin with..

  • The point is Vince Flynn is one of the best authors of our time and his novels may be fiction but the facts and history used in them is definetly real. It sure educates a lot about the terrorists and how they must be dealt with.
